A long string of silence kept itself present in the room. The only sound breaking through the silence being small snores coming from the sleeping boy. However when the clock hit 6:25 a loud wail echoed throughout the room. The copper head just groaned, hitting his alarm and rolling over.
As if on cue though, a woman's voice sounded from downstairs. "Kenjirou sweetheart!" Called the boy's mother loudly, her footsteps echoing slightly from the stairs. "It's time to get ready. You'll be late for your first day of practice!"
Another low groan escaped the male's mouth as he sat up in bed. His first day of highschool and practice and he was already done with it. The bed creaked below him, as the boy shifted his weight so his legs were hanging off the side of the bed. He squinted into the dimly lit room, the only thing illuminating the walls was the small sliver of sunlight peeking in from behind his curtains.
As he pulled himself out of bed, his alarm once again blared. "Oh my shut up." He slammed his hand onto the alarm clock. When it finally shut up he let out a small breath of air before walking over to his closet. He dug around the smaller room for a bit before finding his uniform put into the back. Pulling it out of the bag it was in he squinted slightly. It looked too small to fit him. Guess he really should've tried it on before school started as his mom had told him too. There was nothing he could do now though. Sucking it up, he slipped the slightly tight uniform on.
Lucky for him it didn't look too tight on him. If it did his mom would've definitely scolded him for not trying the outfit on first. Fixing his collar, he grabbed his backpack and gym bag before heading downstairs where his mom was making breakfast. "Good morning sweetie. I made breakfast." She called, her head poking around from the doorframe. The copper head only replied with a small grunt as he set his stuff beside the door and slipped his shoes on.
"Honey? Do you not want any breakfast?" Stepping out of the kitchen, she held a small towel, drying her hands as she spoke.
Kenjirou shook his head. "I like to be early." Standing up, he grabbed his stuff, slinging his backpack over his shoulder. "I'll eat a big lunch I promise."
The woman sighed, shaking her head. Her son was so stubborn at times. However she knew it was no use to argue with him so she simply nodded. "If you don't I'll make you eat a lot for dinner." She threatened, returning to her place in the kitchen. Kenjirou gave another grunt in reply. Opening the door he said a quick, love you, to his mother before stepping outside, the cool spring air brushing against his face. It wasn't cold outside but it wasn't warm either. The sweater he wore helped with that though.
The walk to his school was a good fifteen maybe twenty minutes. He didn't mind the walk however. It gave him a chance to think a little. Not that he had much to think about at that moment though. Whenever he arrived at the campus he cowered a bit. The school itself was huge and slightly intimidating. Shaking off whatever shock he felt he continued on. Since he was there fairly early there weren't a ton of people there yet. Minus the teachers that were arriving. Guess his mom was right about being really early. Plus the ping of not eating breakfast was already hitting him and he hadn't even been up for two hours.
Whenever he first got to the campus he was expecting to be very early to his first practice. Or rather too early. However it ended up being the opposite. He was almost late by the time he figured out where in the hell the gym they played at actually was. "Fucking damnit." Growling under his breath, he approached the gym door. He could already hear the sounds of peoples feet pounding against the floor in the gym.
He sucked in a long breath before sliding the door open.
--------------
Practice had only started about fifteen minutes ago and already there were balls everywhere. "PICK UP THE VOLLEYBALLS AND REUSE THEM!" He called loudly, earning a groan from most every except Ushiwaka.
