dearest cat

its not a big deal
if the sofa is scratched
its not a big deal
if my favorite pillow is now yours
as long as you are here
I could say nothing but grateful
to have you in my life

even if you physically hurt me
left scars from your tiny
yet sharp fingernails
I am still grateful
to have you by my side

you are constantly with me
regardless since everyone
is dealt with their work
still here to fill the vacancy
helping me to be alone
without feeling lonely

sorry in advance
if one fine day
I will leave you with a trace
to the north for good.

I forgive you in advance
if one fine day
you are gonna leave me
with your mud tracks and fingerprints
to the place I wouldn't know for good

despite all these things
please know that I sincerely hope
we will cross paths in the afterlife
