After dating someone for two years, you would think it's serious. That you would actually see your future with that person. That supported your dreams, your beliefs and opinions, and protected you from your fears. And you had a damn good time together. You would think after all that you guys are end-game. But boy was I wrong.

The last senior year party at my house. The biggest party of the year. It's only tradition that the most popular senior throw the biggest party of all time, and what do eighteen year old high-schoolers love more than alcohol, loud ass music, a swimming pool and glow in the dark paint all over their sweaty bodies. Everybody is having a good time, except yours truly.

I lean against the bar that's situated next to the pool. (Quite unsafe and idiotic in my opinion) I watch with envy as the girls grind their asses against their boyfriends, getting drunk and just forgetting about life. Sweat rains down on their bodies, but they don't have a care in the world. Tonight is about having fun and breaking rules.

One of my classmates joins me as he pours himself another cup of punch before leaning against the bar, staring at the same crowd in front of us. I can't seem to recognise him though. He wears a pair of dark denim jeans and a white V-neck shirt. Blue glow in the dark paint cover his eyes like a mask as some green and orange paint decorate his arms and neck. The look suits him though, I'll give him that.

"So where's lover-boy?" He suddenly asks. What a way to start a conversation in my opinion. I glance up at him, hoping to recognise his voice, but to no avail. "He stood me up." I answer, glancing down at my still full cup of wine. "Rumor has it, he booked himself a hotel room after a girl came up to him offering him some ass."

It's strange how a person would think that you know someone, but you really don't. You know the person that they want you to know. I look back up at the mystery man, just to see him stare down at me. I struggle to see his eyes with the paint, but I don't feel creeped out, so that's good.

"Why?" He asks. "Why he stood me up?" I clarify, only to receive a nod back. I shrug. "I don't know. Probably because I wouldn't give it to him." Suddenly he smiles before he starts laughing. I'm certainly confused for his sudden action, but I feel offended, because maybe his mocking me? Like because of my popularity I'm not allowed to be a virgin.

"It just shows you that his not a man. Or his just not the man for you." His demeanour became serious. His words sounded sincere. "A real man who loves you as he so claimed, would've waited until you were ready. And he would've waited a hundred years if he had to."

"Well what happens after the hundredth year?" I joke, hoping to make this serious conversation a bit more lighthearted. I don't know who this man is, yet here I am talking about my non-existed sex-life.

Wow....that's sad.

I see in my peripheral vision he leans his face closer to mine. I turn to see our faces mere inches apart. I can finally see his eyes. Dark chocolate brown orbs that holds so much depth and wisdom. No wonder his speaking all serious with me. "After a hundred years?" He silently questions himself, but I still hear the words fall from his lips. His eyes travels over my face, taking my features in as I do the same. His eyes lands back on mine, shining a hazel hue that holds so many emotions. "He will wait a hundred years more."

He goes to lean in further, probably hoping for a kiss. But I couldn't. So I leaned away. Immediately he stands up straight, taking a sip of his drink, turning back towards the crowd as an awkward tension builds between us.

Or so I thought.

"So what now?" I glance up at him. He holds no awkwardness. No animosity. Completely calm and collected...Interesting. "Now that he left you here all alone. What are your plans for the rest of the night?"
