Chew me out of this hole, life is full of uncertainties
Your body was cold, fingers of amethyst
You were very cold despite individuals coming in
Half alive, your breath faintly settling in

You're a hardheaded soul so I should've known
That the call I'll be waiting for would be the hospital's telephone
You said when death comes your way, you'll embrace it
Now you are on your deathbed, looking so unfit

I heard the repeating beep of the metal device
I heard a woman scream, I heard her cries
I can barely see you with my clouded eyes
Alas, this is what I truly despise

I saw one of my nightmares played on screen
You, not breathing and looked very serene
I do not know if the afterlife is true
I hope you will fly there in the sky so blue

I wish I'd known you'd fall to pieces,
So I could collect your parts, something I could use to reminisce
You're a soul who has a heart,
and I always wish we didn't part

I never imagine seeing you perish,
For you are one of the people I truly cherish
Amazing is what you are,
So seeing you in a casket left a deep scar
