Start from the beginning

"The stitching looks healed. We can definitely remove it! Her body is rapidly healing her wounds, she has a good body for wound recovery", you heard the doctor laugh.

It was day 6 or maybe 7.

You had lost count.

You were definitely in a sorta makeshift coma, something you had figured out the day before or maybe two days before. If you could you would frustratingly ruffle your hair but you couldn't, for obvious reasons.

The numbness in your body was practically gone but you were so full of painkillers that you didn't even feel the pain on your stomach. What you did feel though was the doctor taking the stitches out. Fuck, you wanted to flinch so bad but you couldn't move.

It felt scary, almost like you were in a sleep paralysis unable to do or say anything. Letting them all do to you whatever they had to without being able to protest, flinch or even make a sound of pain.

It annoyed you, wanting to huff at the annoyance you felt, which you obviously also couldn't do.

At this point, you were just cursing at everything and everyone out mentally.

"did you hear that? You'll be fine in no time, love!"

At this point you just didn't want to open your eyes, if you were being honest. Talk about having attitude issues. But what was there to do anyways? You still couldn't respond. Nothing.

They checked your vitals everyday. Made sure that you were getting all the necessities. But all in all, you were still lying like a fucking rotten fruit in the hospital bed. At this point you were pretty sure you felt limb from lying around and not from the actual bullet wound.

The person hasn't left your side. Day in and out he was there, holding your hand, caressing the palm of your hands, stroking the hair from your forehead away, talking sweet nothings and talking about his day.

You were barely listening though. To concentrated on 'waking up'.

"The doctor said if you would be awake, you could leave.., your wounds are healing excellently..  he had told me the first day, to talk to you in your language everyday to fasten your 'recovery' but it seems like you still can't properly hear me..", you heard him sigh beside you, dropping his head, his forehead against your both intertwined hands. "I wish you would wake up... I miss you so fucking much.. You don't understand how much I fucking love you... Waiting day in and out for you to hopefully wake up.."

"I wish I would've been there sooner... I didn't know it would escalate like this.. Fuck..", he mumbled the last part.

He was beating himself up, you could tell.

Though you couldn't say anything as you didn't know who it was nor did you were able to say anything in the first place. What would you say anyway? After all none of you had been alert when you figured the warehouse was empty. It was a mistake from not only Rindou and Sanzu but yourself as well. So putting the blame on someone specific was useless just as pointing fingers was.

You tried to move your finger once more, managing to wiggle more than one already. He shot up, a hopeful glimmer in his eyes. He stood up and caressed your cheek, hovering above you as he kissed your closed eyes, "please.. please try to wake up for me..", he pleaded.

"I beg you.. please.. I beg you open your eyes.. let me see your beautiful eyes once more..", you felt his forehead rest against yours, "those eyes filled with love and warmth.. I wanna see those comforting eyes once more.. please.."

You felt your heart ache. The desperation of him was hurting you.

Oh how you wished you could do more than just wiggle your fingers but it was so hard. So goddamn hard to do anything but that. A huff of air escaped your nose, making him perk up. Something you didn't even notice you did when you started to desperately wake yourself up, your muscles tensing up. Fighting against the heaviness your body felt. Fighting against the heavy urge to sleep once more.

A noise escaping your lips, making the mans heart beat beside you increase, "Doctor! She's waking up! She's trying to wake up!"

You heard once more so much noise beside you. Feeling people run around you, hands touching you as you kept pushing yourself to wake up.

Noises and grunts escaping your lips as you were suddenly hit with the dryness of your throat.

Your fingers grabbing onto the bed sheets as you pushed your eyes open. The brightness of the room blinding your already blurry vision, making you flinch as the noises in the room increased. Yet it was all you unfortunately could do so far, when the strength you had mustered up to wake up was fleeting once more.

But before you slipped away into unconsciousness once more, you pushed yourself to look at the person who has been by your side since day one in the hospital.

Your heart dropping to the pit of your stomach before you fell into another slumber once more, your lips whispering his name out before your mind went blank..
