“Soobin hyung…” Beomgyu’s voice was so quiet, almost a tiny whisper in the air.

“You were right, hyung…”

Beomgyu at this point was trembling, tremors running through his body as he struggled to breath. Soobin immediately dropped his phone back into his pocket, rushing to his side.

“Beomgyu, breath with me, c'mon.”

It was so hard, he heard Soobin trying to help him through his breathing, his voice like a lighthouse guiding him back to shore. He gasped quietly, the ache in his chest lessening as his lungs flood with the oxygen. His fists clutched onto Soobin’s shirt tightly as he tried to return his breathing to a normal pace.

He was still shivering, and Soobin pulled him in closer to a hug, trying to pour warmth into the hug as he stroked Beomgyu’s back, whispering words of comfort and reassurance into his ear.

“Hey…what happened? Beomie...It is going to be okay.”

“No hyung, it is not.” Beomgyu could feel the tears welling up in his eyes and falling, staining Soobin’s shirt, but he was not able to stop it.

“I love him.”

He could feel Soobin tense around him, but he quickly composed himself, hugging him tighter. Beomgyu knew Soobin already knew this fact, but he had never admitted it openly before.

“He never loved me and will never do so.” Beomgyu sobbed, clutching onto Soobin tightly. “How was I so stupid.”

Soobin pulled away from the hug, placing a hand gently on Beomgyu’s chin tilting it upwards, “Beomie, you weren’t stupid, you fell in love, that’s all.”

“Everything hurts hyung…” Beomgyu whimpered.

“Darkness has to pass too, you know that right Beomgyu… it is really going to be okay, trust me.” Soobin emphasized.

"I thought he could be the..." Beomgyu faltered, feeling the tears fall freely down his face.

The one.

"Beomgyu... I am so sorry, I shouldn't have left you alone." Soobin muttered, wiping away his friend's tears gently.

"No...you were right. I need to talk to him. I need to end this." Beomgyu said, shaking his head slowly.

“Beomgyu.” It was Taehyun again, he was here, watching him have a breakdown caused by him. “We need to talk.”

“You already did enough.” Soobin gritted, clenching his fists, “Just go away.”

“Soobin this is between Beomgyu and me,” Taehyun said, narrowing his eyes, gesturing at them limply, “I would appreciate you not coming into our business.”

Beomgyu could feel Soobin tensing up to fight, and he placed a hand on his shoulder, restraining him.

"Fucking let me go Beomgyu, let me punch him just once."

“Hyung, it is okay.” Beomgyu said, his voice wavering. “I will be fine.”

“Beomie…” Soobin turned to look at him, his eyes tired and sad, “You keep getting hurt...”

“I need to finish things off with him properly, he at least deserves that.” Beomgyu sighed in defeat.

"Beomgyu... I can't just leave you with him alone again." Soobin said, his voice insistent.

Beomgyu glanced over at Taehyun who standing there, fuming at them and he could see there were people who were looking over at them curiously. The last thing Beomgyu wanted was a fight in front of an audience and he sighed, "Please trust me hyung, I will be okay."
