Act 1 Scene 2: Dungeon Valefor

AN: I strongly refrained from Ja'far/Vittel/Mahad singing "Good is the New Bad" from Disney's Descendants Wicked World {We use to love the dark/And then we saw the light and felt a spark} My cheesiness has some limits...

Also, Ja'far may have been Peter-Pan-style-female-cast... ^^;

[SINBAD enters in a small boat.]

SINBAD: I continue my journey in search of ways to change the world and make it better! I have come to the far north in icy waters. But what ho do I hear? Is that the voice of a warrior of Imuchakk?

[Spotlight goes to HINAHOHO, center stage with a spear.]

HINAHOHO
Look at me,
I may never pass for a perfect son, or a perfect warrior.
Can it be,
I'm not meant to play this part?
Now I see, that if I were truly to be myself,
I would break my family's heart.

[RAMPAGING UNICORN enters and faces HINAHOHO.]

HINAHOHO: I see your soul and cannot slay you. You too have a right to live.

[RAMPAGING UNICORN opens jaws, about to swallow HINAHOHO. SINBAD runs towards them.]

SINBAD: Look out! Balalark Saika!

[Electric flash. RAMPAGING UNICORN dies.]

[PIPIRIKA enters.]

PIPIPRIKA: Big brother! Did you finally slay the beast so you can become a warrior and be able to propose to Rurumu?

[PIPIRIKA pokes the RAMPAGING UNICORN.]

PIPIRIKA: Hang on. Why is it charred? And who's this?

SINBAD: Madam, I am Sinbad!

[Theme song starts as he bows and takes her hand, but is cut short as she blinks and turns back to her brother.]

PIPIRIKA: Okay... But brother! You finally slayed a rampaging unicorn! Rurumu will be so excited! She's beautiful, strong, a good cook, certainly a girl worth fighting for! I can't wait till she's my sister-in-law!

HINAHOHO: Yeah, about that...

PIPRIKA: So much has happened while you were gone! A dungeon cropped up next to our village! Daddy's about to send an expedition to check it out!

SINBAD: He mustn't do that! Dungeons are dangerous places where thousands of men have died.

[SINBAD brandishes sword, it glows blue.]

SINBAD: I myself have only barely survived one where countless before me lost their lives.

PIPIRIKA: We do not fear danger, but if we hurry back, we can warn daddy. Let's get this beast back to the village so the tribe can feast tonight!

SINBAD: Let me help. I would love to see your village!

[PIPIRIKA hoists the front end of the RAMPAGING UNICORN over her shoulder while SINBAD picks up the tail. They exit.]

HINAHOHO: If I can conquer a dungeon, that will prove my worth as a warrior. I must go to it!

[HINAHOHO runs towards the dungeon with CHORUS singing in the background.]
