"Well, that was one way to handle to it," She said, shocked about what I told her. "Hey, maybe you should talk to him about what went down between him and his now ex-girlfriend." She pointed to the extremely upset Andrew. I just looked at her like she's crazy, sighing . She shrugged and said, "Hey I think it'll best for the best of you. Why do you think I always pair you two together? He needs some help and you need someone to get you through hell."

"Yea, but we're not friends anymore," I stated. "I don't think he'll even want to be my friend anyways. I can't even get what he said to me that night out of my head."

"Well," She said. "Maybe, since he got put into your shoes, he'll want to be your friend again. I mean-"

"Yea, yea, I get it, I get it," I shrugged, brushing her off. Andrew was crying next to me. I couldn't help but feel half empathic and half "now you know how I felt bitch". I stared off into space, thinking about what happened.

*flashback*

"Hey Andy," I said as I sat down at our lunch table. I looked around at all of our friends, Brent, Hayden, Dave, Benn, and Brandon.

"Hey Lacey," Andy smiled. God he's so cute. "How are you?"

"Tired, but good," I answered. He smiled at me and went back to his conversation with Dave. My best friend, Anngie, sat down next to me. She was adopted into the Taddie family from the Dominican Republic, so her skin was a lot darker than mine. But I don't mind, I still love her like the sister I never had. Her older "brother" was Brent, and he knew that she was deaf before the rest of her family knew. So I learned sign language from him. Because we that's the only way I can communicate with her besides with notes in class, we started our own conversation in sign language. I noticed Dave looking at Anngie's and mine hand motions. I looked over at my friend to see her smiling her award winning smile and blush the deepest crimson her dark skin would allow.

"Lacey?" Dave started asking. "Can you tell her that I think she looks really pretty today." I nodded and signed it to her. She started blushing even harder.

"She says you look nice, too," I "translated". He managed to blush, which is rare for him, and look down at his food and he signed thanks, the only thing he knows in sign language.

"So I was wondering," Andrew whispered. "If maybe we can get Anngie and Dave together because Dave really likes her. And by the way she's blushing and the smile she gets every time she looks at him, she really likes him, too."

"Yea, she can't stop talking about him," I stated a bit sarcastically while throwing my arms in the air dramatically. Andy chuckled at the pun. Anngie signed to me that she wants to ask Dave out. I nodded at her and turned to him, "Dave, Anngie wants to know if you'd accompany her on a date to the movies this Saturday?" His face got red as his head snapped up. I looked over at Anng, who started blushing. He looked over at Anngie and nodded, which cause her to blush the brightest red her dark skin would allow, again. The lunch bell rung, and Dave got up and threw away their stuff and walked Anng back to class.

"Hey," I was really questioning myself here, but I was thinking about asking Andy out myself. "I was wondering if you'd be willing to double date with them?" Andy looked confused for a second, then realised who I was talking about instantly. He just shrugged, which upset me a bit. "We could just go as friends so it's not as awkward if I just go to 'translate' for him if he doesn't learn enough sign to talk to her." He looked at me like I was crazy. I blushed a little out of embarrassment and looked away. He subconsciously walked me to Anngie's and mine math class and stopped me, like he wanted to say something to me. He started to lean closer to me and closed his eyes. My breathing hitched as he grabbed my wrists and pinned them against the wall next to the doorway. I closed my eyes as his lips hovered over mine. The bell rung as he place his lips against mine. We simultaneously opened our eyes and sighed. He rested his forehead against mine and my heart started racing. He looked down, let go of my wrists and kissed me. But not just any normal kiss, like a kiss that he'll never see me again. But he's in my History and English classes. He rushed off to whatever class he had.
