Though their request included how to keep the cover have a saturated colour scheme in mind, I honestly don't really have much of a rely to that mostly because I sorta dislike anything too saturated? It can be quite hard to blend certain colours if they're too saturated(my most hated example: red) so I do my best to avoid going there. If you still want to have that sort of bright feel, using overlays generally helps quite a bit.

There's a type of texture called 'metallic textures' where they look just like they sound. Here's an example of one(take a screenshot if you want to save it as well, if you wish).

By adding this to your graphic, and setting its blending mode to 'overlay', the colours of some parts of it would seem saturated

To make graphics with bright/happy moods, well, I usually just use bright colours and renders that generally look, well, happy. If this is a graphic you're making for yourself, just remember what are you going to use it for. Be it a cover, icon or banner, the intended use is important to keep in mind. Is your story going to be happy? Do you want your theme to look peppy? Use the renders you have chosen for them as your guide. Follow the colour schemes of those renders closely, and remember that what you are making is supposed to be bright. Such a thing will end up with good results, such as this icon I used a while back.

See the colours I used? I try to make sure that there are dark colours in place to help balance out the brightness

I love using them a lot thanks to some other overlay textures. But too much just hurts my eyes, so don't overdo it as well! Remember, while you want your cover to look bright, you don't want to blind others now do you?

For graphics with bright and happy energy, you'd want to keep the number of pngs small as too much can take away the attention from your render and the title, plus block out the background. The choice of renders is very important, as how it looks also helps to bring the mood of the whole graphic together. It can be hard to show that your graphic is supposed to be light when the render's frowning, it's contradicting the whole mood and doesn't really make sense.

Of course, it doesn't always not make sense. It all depends on whatever your graphic is supposed to be. Just keep the main intention in mind, and usually it's hard to go wrong.

Another way is to use other kinds of textures for overlays. While the cover isn't technically happy, here's a good example on how bokeh textures can help to sort of amplify the colours.

You see the change? While I had to erase some parts of it as it was covering the render a little too much, the background now has a sort of 'mystical' type of feel which I was originally going for with the cover

This part isn't really just for light hearted moods, this is just some advice for any kind of graphic you want to make. Bokeh textures can be quite fun to play around with! Try and save some if you can, both those with only one colour and multi-coloured bokeh textures.

Sorry for the late reply; exams are finally over! I now have more free time to myself, so I'll do my best to respond quicker now. And I'm not really too satisfied with how I did this chapter, so if you have any questions about it, please do feel free to ask!

And that's it for this chapter, I hope it helps!

Thanks for reading this and have a great day/night!
