The bait plops into the water with the line and sinks.

I sit myself down, laying my tail beside me and wait.

I wait.

And wait.

Let out a yawn, and wait some more.

I keep watch of the water and give my tail a small wag.

Come to think of it, how am I going to reel in whatever I catch?

Also, why was this tied to my tail?

Wouldn't my front claw be a better choice in this matter?

A nice soft breeze passes through and interrupts my thoughts.

I turn to the sky to see the blue sky and white clouds rolling overhead.

They floated by at a nice slow pace and in small groups.

Such a nice day out.

It's warm but not too hot.

I wonder what season this is?

Spring possibly?

I wouldn't be surprised if this were summer either.

My thoughts get interrupted by a strong tug on my tail.

I glance at the line seeing it sink, which is all the info I need.

I quickly stand and grip the line in my fangs and pull back.

Whoa!

What a tug back.

I'm dragged forward an inch.

With a growl, I step backwards trying to reel in my catch.

Another yank.

This one is stronger than before.

It's now trying to move to my right.

I take the chance and rush back in the opposite direction pulling with all my might.

It goes left and I rush right, stepping back more with line in hand.

This tug of war is fairly easy for the both of us, however the fish isn't getting reeled in.

It's so annoying fighting this thing.

Just give up and come on land.

I give my tail a couple wags trying to reel in the line through my teeth.

Step back.

Drag.

Tug.

Step back.

Reel in the line.

This fish really isn't giving up.

It thrashes and swiftly goes from left to right in the water.

It's all I can do to dig into the ground and hold my position.
