It's been a few weeks , since the sadening incident in puqi village. Rouye didn't have to go out every night on a patrol since there was no more incidents like that. Today was like any other normal day. Both Xielian and Rouye decided to go out on different places today. Rouye went out to some random magical shop far away from any normal human would go ,so xielian went out scrap collecting. It's not like they need to do this but Xielian loves to pick up scraps cleaned them up and sell them to others again. He took his bamboo hat and a sack and went about his little mission.

It was already evening when Xielian started his return journey. He was passing through the forest when he heard a rustling sound. He looked back and forth , and noticed a boy sitting under a tree all by himself. Xielian quickly walked up to him and lightly coughed , announcing his presence as he asked the boy - "hey , are you lost or are you waiting for someone."

Hearing his voice the boy looked up and his eyes went wide but he quickly put on a smile and said with a little laugh ,"I am lost ."

Xielian assumed the boy to be eighteen or nighteen years old. His hair was in lopsided braid and his clothes are as red as the maple leaves around them. He smiled down at the boy. "Ah , would you like me to help you out."

The boy looked at him for a moment then nodded up at him, "Thank You gege."

Xielian laughed a tiny bit then gestured the boy to follow him who happily obliged and soon they were walking soldier to soldier , both talking nonchalantly. Xielian noticed the boy to be taller than him by several inches. He shook his head.
"Oh , this freind,we have been talking for so long but I don't know um your name.... " Xielian asked sheepishly.
"That's my bad , I am the third youngest in my family and everyone calls me San Lang.'' The boy said grinning down at him. "My name is Xielian. It was nice to meet you San Lang." "The pleasure is mine."

They  passed through puqi village, and up to the mountainous forest. Soon both of them came to the foot of small hill , Xielian opened the array that protected it and ushered San Lang inside.

As they neared the house at the top of the hill , "It's not much , but I hope you like it." Xielian said as he noticed the boy curiously staring around the area. "Nah , I think it's perfect gege." San Lang gave him a dopey smile in return. Xielian felt something in his chest seeing the boy's smile, and laugh off sheepishly.

As soon as Xielian knocked on the door , it flew open with a bang and there stood Rouye towering over him and looking at him with disappointment clear in her eyes. Both Xielian and San Lang came inside the house.

As Xielian placed the sack full of scraps, Rouye raged out behind him.
"Xie Lian seriously how many times I tol- huh. " Rouye cut herself off as soon as she noticed a weird boy looking at her curiously. She eyed him for a moment as Xielian spoke up , "Rouye, look I was bored of staying here alone so I decided to go out and oh , this is San Lang , eh. I found him sitting under a tree in the maple grove, he said he was lost so I brought him here. He can stay the night here right." Rouye looked at Xielian not knowing what to say. "You literally brought home the tyrant. Your highness."  She gave a look at the teenager and headed inside the kitchen, "I will brew some tea , please take a seat ,umm San Lang." Said teenager just nodded and took a seat in one of the chair in the dining room.

Time skip :-

"Gege , you should sleep on your bed I can sleep down here." The teenager insisted.

"No , you're not San Lang. Come on its late at night now." Xielian sighed as he scooted over to the other side of the bed , leaving enough room for the other to sleep.

"Hm , only if gege is nit bothered having a stranger sleeping on his bed." San Lang looked at him for some time before climbing into the bed and covering himself with the blankets.

"San Lang you are... Not a stranger anymore."  Xielian said as he untied the ribbon and let his hair free. San Lang watched mesmerized.

"Good Night gege." He said and turned to the other side facing the candle.

Xielian blew the candle off and turned towards the other side facing the wall and pulled up the blankets.

"Good Night San Lang."

{Hello my sweet berries and candies. I am so sorry for not uploading sooner. I just moved apartment and well was busy moving around my stuff and furnishing the apartment and settling in my new home.

Anyways hope you enjoyed this chapter. I promise you all this fanfic is going to be so much thrilling and exiting.
