The Traveller, Eir, The Adventurer, Ven, Hummingbird, Mimi, My little Miracle, Darling, Princess, Valkeriye...Astarina.
What do you get when you cross the only Tribrid in the universe and the Last of the Timelords?
Her.
You get Her and her two brothers but well this is her story, not theirs.
The Traveller loved her family as crazy as it was, loved the adventures she got to go on throughout all of Time and Space in a sentient spaceship but she was fully grown! she was well over two hundred years old! she had chosen her title! in the eyes of her father's people she was an adult! by the time her father was her age, he'd ALREADY seen half the universe AND had companions! it wasn't fair!
though she couldn't always understand the ways of humans or mortals and their lives, she was sure the suffering of the youngest child transcended such barriers (despite the frequent reminder that they didn't know WHO was the youngest as she was a triplet and they'd been birthed via C-section, her brothers insisted that because she was the smallest, she was the youngest. gits.) it never mattered how old she got, she was the baby and thus behind the others. she wished desperately for her parents to adopt again or to have another kid. then she'd have someone to lord it over.
On a regular trip to her older brother Captain Jack Harkness, she bemoaned all of her issues to him and his husband Ianto, they had reassured her that her time would come but what did they know? they got to do cool things all the time and mum never harassed them about anything!
....she didn't understand why they started laughing at that statement.
one of the problems with being the Doctor's daughter? she was the Doctor's daughter and well....patience didn't come easily. okay, yea, she promised her mother- who people claimed to be the most dangerous being in the universe, she didn't see that personally, her mother was a pushover- that she wouldn't go messing with the vortex manipulator, that'd she'd only ask questions but cousin River had one and so did Jack! she was sure he'd turned it off anyways, her big brother made sure anything she handled was safe.
Plus, as much as she loved her brother Creator and as smart as he was...he did have...what did Davina call it again? ah, yes 'big himbo energy' she'd only asked him to press buttons and he so loved technology...really she was being nice!
Like Uncle Kol taught them one night as they broke into the Salvatore house 'breaking the spirit of the law is not actually breaking the law' though she'd never quite seen her mother's eyes narrow so much or seen Uncle Kol look so pale when they'd arrived back home covered in red, as she was taken into the living room by Grampa to colour she could hear Kol babbling about 'merciful deities' and 'it's just paint'
though thanks to her genius, Traveller was stuck on the supposed to be nonexistent Gallifrey- that could never make up its mind as to whether it had been destroyed or not, or in a timelock, or in a bubble or a separate universe or trying to take the space Earth occupied- in the backyard of her paternal grandparents home, her father's a child, she's a child- honestly not all that surprising, she'd seen a LOT of weird things happen in the Mikaelson Family. the chat with her grandparents though could have perhaps gone easier but there was a lot she had to keep her mouth shut about. lest she rips a hole in the space-time continuum or something.
Now she had to attend the academy by her father's side, look into the untempered schism and go through her education a second time, well at least exams won't be so stressful...Right?
Don't forget to hide who you are because if the council found out, they'd definitely try to find out how to get unlimited regenerations- that weren't really regenerations, just good genetics.
OH and deal with a broken parental bond that had established itself as a sibling bond with an overprotective father who didn't know he was her father
an upcoming time war, mustn't forget about that one
her Dad's best friend weird insistence on following her around, calling her Valkyrie and glaring at anyone coming close to her.
and not destroying fixed points or time streams or unravelling the threads that make up the universe
and the drums that Koschei had in his head on repeat
and not getting caught, especially that one.
fun.
well, she'd wanted adventure, didn't she?
Oh GODS she has to explain herself to her mother!!!!!
perhaps not even Always and Forever was enough to keep her safe.
