The Protection Of Akira

It was raining cats and dogs the sky looked dark and people were avoiding being outside. Kanji was walking to the market his grandmother wanted four apples and a bag of rice. Kanji walked to the basket filled with apples "hmm these apples look delicious I wish I could have them all" kanji smiled. "Well you can't have em all hehe" Sora said. Sora was kanji's best friend even though he has a huge crush on her since primary school. Kanji laughed "what are you doing here were you following me?" Sora grinned "Never in a million years I don't have time to I'm here to buy cookie dough." Hmm kanji thought maybe she was following me and is using that as an excuse I've never seen her eat a cookie like in 2nd grade I baked cookies for the pep rally Sora said cookies is too sweet and causes diabetes. "Ha sure whatever you say but I gotta get back Akira is waiting for me." Sora Smiled "okay ill see you then Kanji" after that awkward conversation Kanji felt maybe Sora does have feelings for him. Twenty minutes later Kanji arrived home he opened the front door and walked inside. "Kanji you're back!!" Akira shouted "you have my apples!" Akira then used psychokinesis and grabbed the apples. Grandma then walked in "OH MY GOD" She shouted.

  Kanji then got worried "what if she saw Akira's powers what If she gets taken away and the government will do experiments on her and its all my fault!" He thought. Kanji didn't notice how sweaty and and anxious he was getting when his grandma then said "you got the wrong bag of rice kanji I wanted whole grain." His grandma then put down her glasses and took a deep breath "Kanji why are sweating the fan is on" Kanji then laughed "aha ah nothing I guess I'm a bit over dressed that reminds me Akira needed help with her uh um drawings."Grandma Mai then said "oh okay I will start supper now" Kanji then grabbed Akira and ran upstairs and locked the door. "Omg you could've gotten into big trouble what did I tell you about using your powers in front of other people?!" Akira turned bright red "I um I don't know I didn't know grandma was gonna come in I'm sorry." Kanji then hugged his sister "its ok you just have to be careful imagine what would happen if the government found out about you they will take you away and I could no longer protect you." Akira wiped her tears and sat down on Kanji's green desk chair "I will be more careful I promise I just don't know why I have these powers does it mean something am I supposed to be fighting bad guys?" Kanji sighed "you're only thirteen you're not fighting any bad guys your very special your the chosen one." Akira laughed "yay I'm chosen" Kanji's phone then vibrated It was a text from Sora.Kanji then looked at the text that read *Hey you seemed to be in a rush at the market wanna meet me at the pine park down the road in twenty minutes?* Kanji then smirked replying *I'll be there :)* Akira rises up "Ooh is that Sora?" Kanji laughed "mind your business will ya." Akira laughed Kanji then got up and said "I gotta go freshen up be good okay call me if anything." Akira smiled "okay I'll be fine have fun with Sora" Kanji rolled his eyes "yeah yeah" Kanji then left his room and went to the bathroom time to get ready he thought to himself I wonder what she wants to talk about I guess I'll have to wait and see.
