THE FORGOTTEN

CHAPTER 1- SCHOOL LOCKDOWN

I had a normal life, I went to school, I played on the playground, I was a normal kid. Not spoiled, just a normal kid. One normal day when I was walking out the door, I grabbed my lunch and started to grab my coat right before the door shut. I put it on while I was riding away on my bike. When I got to school I hugged my friend Alscia. She and I had been friends ever since we were in kindergarten. She was my best friend, I would do anything for her.

 When we got to home room after the bell rang, the day passed really quickly. Later in the day right after lunch we were on our way to our lockers when a huge alarm went off, "ALL CHILDREN PLEASE REPORT TO YOUR HOMEROOM! THE SCHOOL IS UNDER ATTACK! THIS IS NOT A DRILL." Aliscia and I looked at eachother, I looked deep into her eyes, I saw fear. I grabbed her hand and bulted. Then an unknown voice called out. "Aye kids! Stop right there, drop anything you have and empty your wallets." My eyes opened wide.' I looked at Aliscia, she didn't have a wallet.

 I looked at him and he pointed a gun at Alsacia, we dropped our backpacks and pencils. "WELL? DROP YOUR WALLETS YOU BRATS!" He yelled louder. She looked at me, and I looked at her, I slid my wallet over to him, although he thought Aliscia had one, she didn't. I said, "she has no wallet or valuables sir." in a scratchy scared voice. "Oh? Then she has no use for me" he said.

 I looked at the gun, and I noticed his finger pulling down on the trigger, and the cops walking through the door at the same time. I don't know what got into me but I jumped in front of Alscia. I felt a warm stinging feeling in my chest. I looked down and held my chest.

 I saw blood pouring down from my heart. A tear dropped from my eye. Alscia grabbed me and screamed, as she followed the motion that my body was and fell to the ground, making it an easy fall for me. Her tears were like heavy metal pieces pouring down, and her scream was bloody, and loud.
