Lexi said she would be here in about 30 minutes so Derek went to get candles for the cake since Meredith forgot them yesterday.
Amelia and Caroline were in the Mc dreamy's bedroom helping Meredith pick out her outfit of the day.
" This makes me looks like a nun." Meredith said looking in the mirror, making sure she got a good look at every part of her body.
" Hey I brought that for you" Caroline said sternly. Amelia started laughing and Meredith gasp and then smiled. " And I'm so thankful for it mom" she said sympathetically, trying not to laugh. Caroline rolled her eyes playfully and said " Mhm, next option"
Moments later Mer's phone rang. "Der"
" Hello beautiful" She could feel his grin through the phone. " Hi" she said gently. " How's it going, is Lexie on her way?" She sighed and moped on the bedroom couch across from her mother in law and sister.
" Yeah,Lexie said she may be late because Bailey wanted to go get ice cream and a toy from five in bellow first." She chuckled a bit. " I'm guessing Zola wanted a toy too." He joked " Yeah, so the party got pushed back 30 minutes." Meredith said with a bit of worry. Derek notice the frustration in her voice so he sighed and calmly said. " everything will be fine, besides this gives you time to focus on you and have alone time." He asked. " What are you doing now?"
" We'll mom and Amelia are helping me pick out an outfit for tonight and it's not going too well." She groaned. He chuckled. " You should pick whatever makes it easier to slip off of you tonight." He said in a husky voice. This made Meredith blush and giggle a bit.
" Derek Christopher shepherd! That better not have been inappropriate" Caroline said as she searched through Merediths side of the closet. Amelia just laughed. " Ooooo your in trouble." She said as if there were kids again.
" Was I on speaker?" He asked cringing a little. Meredith giggled and said. " No, just couldn't keep a straight face" they both laughed, they talked more and more until they decided to hang up.
" I love you, see you when you get here." Mer said. " I love you too." And with that,they hung up.
Meredith turned around to Amelia and Caroline and said. " I am not wearing this dress." She said laughing a little . Amelia and Caroline nodded.
" Alright, Alright, you don't have to wear the dress, but I at least get to pick out your hair style dear."Caroline said. Meredith cracked a smile and nodded.

Derek walked inside to see the house fully decorated and Meredith in the kitchen alone.
" Hey you" he said setting the grocery bags on the counter, She turned around and smiles.
" Hi, your finally back"
She cracks a smile and kisses him, he immediately responds by kissing her back and getting lost deep into the touch of her lips.
" Mhm, you smell good, is that the coconut fragrance I got you?" He chuckled a little and kissed her head.
" Yes....I tried it out this morning." He said as they both starting to put the groceries away.
" Where did everyone go?" He asked. He looked up and could tell something was bothering her.
" Mer, what's wrong? Did I use to much coconut fragrance?" He asked laughing a little. He tried to lighten the mood a bit but realized he couldn't, he had to figure out what was wrong first.
