"We'll lose touch too, won't we?"
Were your only words, that scared meYou knew the best
And the worst in me
All of my history
When I was the worst of meSorry but you'll never see
The best and the worst of me
When I was the best of me
Every left out historySorry but all I have left is pity
Your secrets unfolded,
In the palm of my hands
I was still settling in a place,
I wasn't comfortable atTroubles said hello and so did you,
Storms raged from the ocean beneath,
Droughted lands, dead plants,
I was trapped
When every evening felt like the world was ending,
And nights did nothing but choke me,
I was at my knees, struggling to breathe
Staring at the dead daylight,
Wondering what role you played,
Of the moon in the dark sky?
Of the sunlight in the dark side?
Of the demon in my daydreams?
Or was it nothing but manipulation?
Nah, you were the trigger
(to it all)
Love was the trigger
(to the misery unknown)
