Dylan's POV Chapter 8

Start from the beginning

"Hi sis!"

"Dylan."

"I'm your twin brother, remember?"

"I know who you are."

"Good. Um are you all right?"

"All right?! My twin brother who never visits me and who is currently standing in my bloody hallway is asking me if I'm all right?!"

I nodded slowly.

"No, I'm not actually."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"Oh now you're sorry?!"

I nodded. "Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?"

"You can tell me what you're doing here."

"Well Dad is getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame..."

"I know."

She walked back into her room, as I followed her in and closed the door for some privacy.

Okay, good." I sat with her on the couch. "So I was wondering if you wanted to come celebrate with us."

"Why don't you ever come home?"

"What?"

"You haven't been back here in years."

"I've been busy."

"Everyone's busy. That's not an excuse."

"Well it's the truth."

"But this is your home."

"I've never lived here."

She sighed heavily. "I meant England. England is your home."

"Yes England is where I was born and where I spent most of my childhood, but America is my home now."

"Wow, I can't believe that you picked Dad's second family over me."

"That's a low blow and was totally uncalled for. They are OUR family!"

"They're not mine!"

"How can you say that? Where is this actually coming from? Seriously?"

"Oh like you don't know!"

"I don't!"

"Well after Dad got married, everything became about his new wife and he forgot about me."

"That's a lie! No one forgot about you. Do you know that we have left your room untouched so that when you returned to us, you would see that we never forgot about you?"

"Really?"

"Yes, I wouldn't lie to you."

"So you still live in that little shack?"

"It's not a shack. It's an apartment!"

"Why? And why are you calling it an apartment, when it's clearly a flat?"

I sighed, "We're living there because when Dad is here working, Mom needs help with the kids."

"Help? They have a rugby team!"

"I know, but Dad put me in charge because I'm the oldest."

"Oh congratulations. Do you want a gold star?"

"For your information, no one is making us stay there. I enjoy helping out and being in charge."

"Oh good for you. Is there a point here?"

"Look, we're going to move out soon and we would like for you to join us in our new house."

"Who's this 'we'?"
