Sonic Genesis

Night had fallen on the Mystic Ruins as Sonic and Tails rest for the night at Tails's workshop. But while Sonic is in slumber he gets a strange dream unlike any he's ever had before. He was in the middle of a wasteland or it was more of a battlefield that stretched far beyond the eye can see their were to what looked like Weapons on the floor and as Sonic continued to explore this strange place eventually he finds what looks to be a temple he approaches it carefully making sure not to set anything off there was a shape of a hand on the door, Putting two and two together he put his hand on the door, a perfect fit, the door slowly opened and Sonic waits anxiously and impatiently as he was tapping his foot on the ground as he usually does but this impatience is so replaced by an Unspeakable fear as the Door opened and there was nothing but Darkness, for Some reason Sonic couldn't move, he couldn't speak his entire body went stiff, this wasn't like him at all, then he started to hear whispers in his ears getting louder and louder until suddenly silence. All was quiet, but Sonic still couldn't move, then from the Darkness a bunch of hands came and grabbed Sonic and dragged him inside the temple he screamed but no one would ever hear him. Sonic Shot awake screaming, and Tails bursted into his room

"SONIC WHAT'S WRONG ARE WE UNDER ATTACK!?" "Heh no buddy, sorry I just had a nightmare..." Said Sonic trying to keep a positive attitude despite the fact that he was clearly sweating "Huh...y'know you almost never have any Nightmares, you wanna talk about it?" Asked Tails concerned for his big bro "It's fine, Looks like Day is about to break, let's go ahead and get ready for today's Eggman attack!" Said Sonic trying hard to change the subject. "Alright but I ain't forgetting this!" Tails leaves the room to get the Tornado ready and Sonic is left to his thoughts "What was that Nightmare...? And why did it feel so...real?"

A few minutes passed and Sonic and Tails were flying in the sky above Station Square enjoying life "Hehe, it sure is great being back in Station Square after Chaos totally leveled it." said Sonic happy to be back in his favorite city "Yeah! Took a couple years but it's finally been rebuilt, brings back a lot of memories huh Sonic?" asked Tails "Yeah, it really-" Sonic is then interrupted by a laser beam "Speak of the Devil..."

"Hohoho! Well Sonic today's finally the day I defeat you! At long last Victory will be in my hands Robots ATTACK!" A bunch of E-series and Egg pawns were unleashed unto the city "Excuse me Tails, but I have some Robots to Smash up! Try to leave some Eggman beating for me!" said Sonic "Please like you have the right to save the bot smashing for yourself!" Said Tails "Sorry can't hear ya jumping off the Plane!" Tails facepalms "He never listens...Ah well time for some action!" Tails then proceeds to shoot at some of the Airborne Robots.

Meanwhile Sonic is smashing up Robots like he usually does but while he's doing so he gets a flash from the Dream he had he's suddenly frozen seeing that temple again "W-wha-" one of the Robots attack Sonic sending him flying into a wall. As Sonic regains his composure he tells himself to keep it together, and tries to regain focus, which he does but his movements seem more slower then usual, and eventually he gets caught in a corner. He gets stiff again and is unable to move then has the Robots begin to gain up on him Tails releases a electromagnetic bomb rendering the Robots as nothing more then scrap "SONIC YOU ALRIGHT?!" Yells Tails "I'M FINE LITTLE BUDDY! DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME!" Tails continues to look concerned but his concern is soon replaced annoyance as Eggman is shooting at the Tornado "Let's dance Foxboy!" Said Eggman who sounded a bit over confident. Sonic is looking at Tails and Eggman's dogfight "Oh no way am I missing this!" as he prepared to jump back onto the Tornado he was then Punched by another Robot, one he was all too familiar with. "Ah, good to see you Metal, you look different" It was Metal Sonic but with an Upgraded Arm Cannon and a more Humanoid looking hand "Looks like good old Eggman gave you some upgrades! But still, your a hopeless case just fighting you is a bore now." Metal then raises his Arm cannon and fires without delay but to no avail as none of the shots are fast enough to hit him. "If that's the best you got then you were better off as you were before!" Metal then takes flight and proceeds to Try and punch Sonic who purposely cornered himself next to a wall, he dodges and Metal just ends up hitting the wall "Y'know, the problem with having a Arm cannon is that it limits you to just one arm" Sonic then punches Metal Knocking him into the Ground, while still on the ground Metal proceeds to fire at Sonic one more time but he dodges again and proceeds to charge up a light speed attack which then proceeds to completely destroys Metal Sonic. Meanwhile Tails and Eggman's dogfight is beginning to reach it's climax as Eggman's Eggmobile is sustaining heavy damage but he has a plan Eggman pushes a button and a satellite dish forms and comes out from below the Eggmobile that then releases an ear pricing sound. With the noise so loud he has no choice but to cover his ears but by doing so he loses control of the plane Eggman laughs "HAHA! How's that taste, you dumb fox?!" Eggman starts to laugh but his laughter is interrupted by something hitting him on the head "OW, WHAT THE-" Eggman then picked up and he thing the thing that hit him, it was Metal Sonic's head "Uh oh..." Sonic then destroys the Satellite dish and Tails pulls up saving himself at the last moment. Sonic runs up a building and Jumps landing on top on the Tornado "Why me?" Eggman asked himself as Sonic jumped off the Tornado again for a homing attack which then sends Eggman flying "CATCH YA LATER EGGFACE!"

But Sonic's gloating was soon cut short as he begins to have another episode this time seeing as if the whole city turned into that Battlefield he starts to hear whispers in his ears again which then turned to yelling "Sonic...Sonic...SONIC!" Sonic Snapped out of it "SONIC!" Yelled Tails "Huh? Oh sorry must've spaced out for a sec there" said Sonic who simply laughed it off Tails was not amused.

Meanwhile outside the City Eggman lands in a forrest area, he gets himself out of his wreckage and then curses Sonic as he kicks the dirt and yells "CURSE THAT BLASTED HEDGEHOG! VICTORY WAS RIGHT AT MY FINGERTIPS!" he yelled "It's almost unfair sir you deserved that Victory more then anything!" Said Orbot "GAH! When'd you two get here?!" "We were in the EggMobile as well but you didn't really pay attention to us." "Yeah and you ignored us too!" Said Cubot adding nothing to the conversation "I will forever question the day I decided to give you two Robots personalities" Eggman sighs "That blasted Hedgehog as always been one step ahead of me at every turn, even at my grandest moments, I blew up the moon, I shattered the Earth apart I'VE EVEN MEDDLED WITH THE SPACE TIME CONTINUUM! And yet this is what I've dissolved into, the Daily Villain just for them to fight every day and Sonic himself as grown too Powerful for my liking, he didn't even had to turn Super to fight Perfect Chaos for the second time his base form did perfectly!" Eggman then looks at the disembodied Metal Sonic Head, Even replicating his fighting style doesn't work." Eggman turns his EggMobile over and prepares to get to fly again "Nothing will change unless I find some way to put the odds in my favor" Then an idea Hatches "Hold on a minute Sonic's power! THAT'S IT, There must be a source to his power!" "But it's not like you can dissect him" Said Orbot "Like I'd need to do that, I don't know why I didn't ask myself this sooner, what is the Origin of Sonic himself?! In all my years of facing Sonic I never thought of it THINK YOU BOLTBRAINS! Why is it that we never see any Hedgehogs besides Shadow and FutureBoy?" Orbot and Cubot just look at each other blankly then look at Eggman and shrug "It's because something must've happened to them...it's time I get to know thine enemy..."
