chapter 13.the whale hunt begins!

The whale screeched as it started marching towards me, I only smirked in response, it seemed to hit the whale's nerve. 

Chapter 13.1. The white whale 

"It's time to see how good you are, patrasche" I said to patrasche as i climbed on her back, even though i could run fast, i need to see if patrasche is good enough or not. 

Patrasche roared in response as I gave rem a hand so she could climb faster. 

"Show what you're made of, patrasche! " I said as the patrasche ran with her full speed while the whale chased me. 

I would have taken care of the whale myself but who am I to kill it when it didn't do anything against me? People like Wilhelm deserve to kill it afterall the whale destroyed their family. This is a matter where no matter who I am, I don't deserve to kill the white whale. 

"RRRRRRRRRRRR!! " The whale screeched as it chases me, even with its heavy body, it was moving real fast, wind pressure was created due to the speed. 

"Al huma! " Rem shouted as she summoned shards , they rushed at the white whale as they pierced it's skin but despite the blood flowing like waterfall, it didn't seem to affect the whale. 

"It seems it can nullify the pain and effect of magic attacks, but not much" I said to Rem as she nodded. 

The whale suddenly got interrupted as the machines which Anastasia brought striked the whale. 

It striked with big dazzling beams coming out of it, it hitted the whales skin, but they weren't piercing attacks that could tear it's skin. 

But the beams didn't even shrug the whale even by a bit. 

"Rimuru-kun, close your eyes" Rem said, but I didn't anyway, the soldiers were prepared a big  cannon , they pointed it in the air as it shot a Bright ball of light which traveled to the sky. 

Suddenly it exploded in the air, filling the whole sky with dazzling light. Rem closed her eyes while I was just surprised by it. 

When it cleared the whole sky was filled with light as if it was day time. 

'Holy shit, since when has technology in this world gone so far?' I thought bewildered by the mini sun thingy 

I was watching the view with surprise in my eyes, the whale opened its eyes being stunned by the light for a split second. 

It got an angry look on his face as it let out it's biggest screech so far, it was strong enough that it created shockwaves which hitted the ground and ate dust. (Lmao) 

"Hmm, let's distract it again, shall we? " I asked rem, she nodded as patrasche starts running away from whale, being stupid as heck, the whale also followed his own death. (Ayo that rhymed!) 

Crusch was charging her attack, her sword was glowing bright white as she threw a shockwave at the whale, it sliced his skin on his cheek as the whale stubbled in the air as it lost its balance. 

"You greatly underestimated us , just because some archbishop interrupted doesn't mean we have gotten weak " Crusch said but suddenly a realisation hit her, she forgot About the archbishops. 

"Half of the troops quickly capture the archbishop of wrath! "Crusch ordered half of them. 

" The intangible sword with no recards for range.. That's crusch-sama's sword style, Famous for it's 100 men strike" Rem explained, my surprised face was rewritten by a smirk.
