Secrets. They're powerful things. I keep them from Shane, and he keeps them from me.

We still have a lot to learn about each other. But it has to wait now.

Shane and I are creeping along a dark alleyway, in search of a rouge wolf man. At eleven-fifty, Shane received a call message that he was on the run.

We are basically on a mission. My emotions was boiling to a dangerous level. "So, Shane, is now a bad time to say I Have to pee?" I try to break the ice. "Shhhhh!" He snaps. I widen my eyes in surprise. I know this is really important to Shane, so I try to understand.

"Shane," I start, touching his arm. He's so tense. "Don't worry, we'll get him."

He looks at me, love clear in his eyes. "I know. I just worry. He is a very crazed man. I don't want you to get hurt."
I kiss him, because in that moment I see Shane; the vulnerable man who needs love. Who needs me.

It melts my heart. I'm finally needed. By Shane. I know that he loves me, and would do anything to protect me.

Bang! A box falls in the distance. I see a shadow of a person. He is skinny, pale.

He steps into the light. He had a tangled Matt of black hair. His eyes were a violet purple, craze reflecting off of them. I've never seen a wolf with purple eyes.

I look to Shane. He gives me a look that says 'I'll explain later'. Instantly the man turns into a black wolf, his eyes a lighter purple. He growls at us, spit falling from his mouth.

I shift a second before Shane does. I growl with fierceness, the rouge stepping back in return.

What do you want? I speak through my mind

Yeah.

Shane, honey, let me speak, please.

Well. Sorry, I was just trying to help.

Yeah, but sweetie if you saw-

Enough! I can't handle you two bickering, if you hadn't notice. Anyway, I was just looking for food.

A nagging felling clenched my gut; something told me he wasn't looking for a hamburger- more like a hometown buffet of Normals, humans.

Before I know it, Shane is lunging. Not to be out thought, I lung after him.

Shane tries to rip his throat, barely getting a snip. I creep to his leg, biting down deep enough to get a whimper out of him.

I walk to his other leg. I bite down, not as deep. His blood was bitter, intoxicating me.

I feel dizzy, lighter. I knew now that his blood was spiked. I don't know how. I fall to the floor. I've never been high before.

I felt like prancing around the ally, singing at the top of my lungs.

I shifted.

I sang.

I pranced.

I didn't regret it. Must've been a side affect. Hmmmm.... So need to do this again. I hiccup, covering my mouth. I fall to the floor, the last thing I see is a dead rouge before my vision goes dark.
