Oh Brother!

The police were catching up. It's not my fault that the only thing to do around here nowadays is annoying them- its just so entertaining! I leaped around the corner, and instantly crashed into someone much taller than me. I looked up at the lean figure before darting off in the other direction, directly into the policemans arms. I tried to fight them off, but his grip was too firm. No matter how much I squirmed, I was not breaking free.

'Mr PoPo, can you at least let me breathe, it's against the law to choke someone!' I yelped. The policeman released his grip slightly- just enough for me to wriggle out of his grasp. Works every time!

The guy I ran into earlier was waving at me to get into his caravan. I can't tell you why, but I felt a stange feeling of familiarity towards him, and I intantly trusted him. I ran and jumped into his vehichle before we dashed off together.

'Hi.'

I looked up at him, and took in his features. He was quite good looking actually, but not the type I would usually go for. He had dark brown, messy hair. His eyes were hazel brown, and he was giving me a strange look. I was staring so intensely at him that it made him uncomfortable. There was just somehing about him.

'Whats your name?' I asked.

'John B Routledge. And you?'

I blinked twice, and faced the other direction. John B looked confused as he knitted his eyebrows together at my response.

'Willow. Routledge.' I waited patiently for a response. John B stopped the car instantly, which was actually quite satisfying to watch, apart from the part where I smashed my head on the car.

'There's no way. Routledge is a really rare name, it's pretty coincidental that we share the same one, right?' John B said.

'Totally. Anyway, I should probably get going now.' I hold up a picture of my father. I haven't seen him in 3 months, and I'm starting my own search for him, I'm actually quite concerned, but don't trust the police to do anything. 'By the way, you haven't seen this man, have you?'

John B froze. He pointed at the photo, and then back at me. 'Willow. Thats my dad.'

I shook my head in disbelief. JOHN B IS MY BROTHER? Impossible, my dad had never mentioned him.

I rolled my eyes and took a step out of the caravan. 'Very funny. Let me know if you do see him.'

John B grabbed my arm, hurrily telling me that he was being deadly serious, and explaining how he recognised the uncanny resembelence of me and our father. We all had the exact colour hair, mine was a lot longer of course, John B and dad shared the same hazel brown eyes, whereas mine were a dark green colour. We shared the same skin tone and both had freckles.

After hours of catching up, and getting to know eachother, it became evident that me and John B are infact twins, most likely separated at birth by our father, but we have no idea why. Our upbringings were completely different, yet we both share the same habits, such as staying in bed until 1pm and enjoying celery and peanut butter.

John B decided to introduce me to his friends, who would hopefully become mine too over time.

As we arrived at JB's house, there were 2 boys and 2 girls waiting for us. I leapt out of the car, but felt kind of intimidated. I'm not used to hanging around with people my own age, if I'm honest, I prefer playing Scrabble with the elders at the nursing home down by my street.

JB smiled as his friends aproached him and his sister, and introduced themselves one by one.

The first person to introduce themselves was Kiarra, who insisted on me calling her Kie. She was so pretty, and so lovely, and we instantly got along. Kies introduction was quickly followed by Pope and Sarah, who were equally as kind and welcoming.

The last boy stood back from the group, staring weirdly at me. I just stood there and matched his stare, which took him off guard. He grinned and went inside.

If I'm being honest with myself, that weird blonde boy intrigued me. He made no effort to make me feel welcomed, yet I felt the need to go and talk to him. He was beautiful, not that I would ever say that out loud!

'Guyss!!' Sarah squealed, 'We are going to a party!! Willow, you are totally coming too, I can tell that you are so much fun. Go get ready!'

As I didn't have anything to wear, Sarah drove me to her place to choose one of her dresses to wear. Her house was massive, bigger than any house I had ever seen. I was curious as to why she hung out on the rough part of the island, but it would be rude to ask.

She picked out a tight fitted royal blue dress. I headed to the bathroom to try it on.

Oh my god. The bathroom was to die for. Whist admiring the huge bath and luxurious shower setup, I put on the dress. It was perfect, and really brought out my green eyes.

*Knock knock*

'I'll be out in a second Sarah! I'm almost done!' I yelled back.

'Sarah? Who the hell is in my bathroom?' A husky voice replied.
