India in the eighteenth century, was beginning to fade

But new empires, were being laid.

The mighty Mughals and their charm

Dare not come close, danger or harm.

Rajputs, Jats, Rohelas and Pathans were brave

Their authority and power people still crave!

Marathas with their head held high fought

Stunned were those, who in their splendor were caught.

Indian rulers who were strong and tall

Forgot; united they stand and divided they fall.

British, French, Dutch exploited this weakness at hand

Infiltrated the pious Indian brand.

Ranjit Singh, Mahadji Scindia, Baji Rao, Tipu Sultan; great heroes walked this land

Their valor inspired us, to fight the Independence struggle grand.

We will always remember the contribution they made

Salute the sacrifice they paid.

They define the magnificence ray

In their glory today, we sway!
