Introduction: Please Read!

      If you ask almost anyone what Christianity is, they'll say "Its a religion." This is, of course, true. But its also much more than that. Its alive.

      You may have heard the phrase "Its not about religion, its about a relationship with God." Although Christianity is a religion, its not about religion. The point is to trust God with everything and live for Him.

     The reason I say its not just a religion is because it isn't simply believing in a supernatural God that controls everything. He isn't some big, scary spirit-thing. He's a personal friend, and, most importantly, He's real.

     One way Christianity is different from other religions is that there's no earning your way into some exclusive "Christian Club" thing. There's no special protocol you have to follow. You don't have to go to church (although its actually pretty fun and a good way to meet new people) or do a secret chant each morning.

     There's also no earning your way to heaven."For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it." - James 2:10 Making sure your good deeds outweigh your bad ones won't get you to heaven. Even just one bad thing will keep you separated from God forever. Since no on is perfect, that means no one can get to heaven :O.

     Well, that doesn't sound very fair, now, does it? "Either be perfect or go to hell!" If that were the case, I can guarantee you I would not be a Christian. There is no way I (or anyone else) could be perfect. But God knew it would be impossible for us humans to live sinless lives, so He sent His son, Jesus to die in our place. The cool thing about Jesus is He didn't stay dead. He died, took our sins away, and came back to life! How cool is that?

          Now all we have to do to get to heaven is believe that Jesus really did die for our sins, and accept His gift of salvation. Its so simple, even little kids can do it. All you have to do is believe.
