Autumn in The Air
Oh, how the colour of falling leaves and warm brew
Remind me of your twinkling eyes.
The warmth of the fireplace and woollen sweaters,
Falling shy of your embrace.
No matter how many times, The deceiving gales blew through your hair,
I kept falling harder than the browning leaves.
But like the trees revealing colours they've hidden the whole year,
You revealed yours; your iridescent nature hidden behind those now monochromatic eyes.
Oh! How blinded was I by the October skies
And dreams knit upon lies,
I failed to notice your words covering my eyes.
Autumn has come again this year,
But fortunately will leave with memories not haunted by you.
Fall whispered, "Take a look at the blue sky, the fiery trees,
Fluttering leaves bidding adieu to summer,
And see how beautiful it is to let things go."
