When you die, it ends. The pain ends. But when Slender man kills you there is no end. You are not dead yet you are always in pain. Floating, alone no hope of ever being free. I do not remember my life, I only remember the end. The screaming, the running, the never ending fear. I want to forget but I simply cannot.

Darkness danced around me. Silence. Nervously, I scrambled to my shaking feet. The air was cold, chilled and musty. I ran my fingers through my hair and bit my lip. Where am I? Confused and disorientated, I trekked out into the ongoing silence. The world around was nothing but darkness. I could make out the shape of the looming forest around me. I stopped suddenly. Something was watching me. Waiting. I spun round, panic filled every inch of me.

âHelloâ I echoed in a cracked voice.

Something is here. I can feel it.

Only the deep sound of my own breath met my ears. The hairs at the back of my neck shot up .I was alone. Lost. I tried to rack my brain as to which way was out but my mind was a blur. Frantically, I slapped my forehead desperate for an answer. âThinkâ I whispered into the silence. âThinkâ. I felt panicky, scared and sick. I cried with fear, great racking sobs. Suddenly my eye caught something in the greater distance, a figure. My eyes widened, it was approaching me. I didnât know wherever to scream, run or ask it for help. It didnât matter anyway because my feet were securely stuck to the ground, I was paralysed with fear. The figure gained speed; it could be my prayer or my predator. Faster and faster yet it did not walk or run. With every blink it seemed to get nearer. I stopped too terrified to even scream.

Closing my eyes, I braced myself for what could happen next. This couldnât be real.  Closer and closer, until I could feel nothing but numb fear. I opened my eyes was all I saw was static. I closed my eyes but the static had burrowed into my head. Then I saw its face; dead and inhuman. It had no features, no eyes, nose or mouth. My eyes burned with his image. I opened my mouth to scream but I had no voice left.

On and on it went until I could only darkness and since that day darkness is all I have ever seen.
