Guide and Background

A/N: Before I get too far into writing this story I wanted everyone's opinion I'm stuck between having Penelope in this story as well (she'd be with Hope and Josie) please comment ASAP please and thank you!

The classes of presentation are alpha, beta, and omega, this presentation happens at the age of 16 for betas and omegas, but alphas present early at age 15(on their birthday). Every one in the world presents, but unless you are born supernatural being an alpha or omega is extremely rare. Even when born supernatural being an alpha or omega is still rare as beta is the number one presentation. Betas are like every other person, their anatomy and their behavior stays the same. Alphas may change depending on their gender assigned at birth, males will stay the same while females will gain a penis. Female alphas will keep their vagina and uterus, but usually don't get pregnant as it come at a great risk, death to the mother and baby are extremely likely. Omegas are submissive and no matter their sex able to become pregnant, and male omegas are able to impregnate as well. On top of this it's is known for while extremely rare be possible for omegas to get pregnant regardless if they are a vampire and for alphas to be able it impregnate (omegas only) if they are a vampire. Omegas go through a heat, the time they are most fertile, most are able to function to a certain degree during this time and it can last from 5-7 days and is every 3 months until pregnant at which heats halt until 3-6 months after the birth. During their heat they produce slick to make mating and knotting easier. Omegas are also going to by highly aroused, extra submissive, feverish, and their scent glands are going to be swollen and secrete stronger pheromones. Alphas go through a "heat" of their own called a rut, this happens so an alpha is able to keep up with their omega's needs during their heat and usually only happen when an omega is in heat(said omega is usually with in close proximity to their mate). During the mating process when the alpha is about to climax a knot will form at the base of their penis which will lock them together with their omega for 30 minutes or longer depending on the omega. Alphas, betas, and omegas all have scent glands located on the inside of their wrists and in the junction where their neck and shoulder meet on both sides. Alphas and omegas both secrete more pheromones than betas and even more during their heats and ruts. Mates are made through a mating bond which happens when an alpha bites the neck of an omega with permission and the omega returns the bite, when done with out permission the mark won't take there for the bond won't be created. An alpha can form multiple mating bonds with omegas , this is not the standard but has happened. Two omegas can form a mating bond to each other as well, but usually only happens when said omegas share an alpha. An omega can have multiple alphas, but this is even rarer as alphas are extremely possessive and don't like to share with other alphas.

Background:

All of the Mikaelson's are alphas and come from a long line of alphas, besides the few omegas and betas that were married in in order to continue the line. The Gemini coven are a long line of mainly betas with the occasional omega and with no known alphas. Alaric's family is only betas, not a single alpha or omega, even Caroline's family is all betas. Hayley was an alpha same as Klaus making Hope even more of a special case. Klaus, Hayley, Elijah are all still alive as Hope never had Hayley kidnapped so the chain of events that lead to her death didn't happen. The hallow was destroyed as the Mikaelson family resurrected Esther just to turn her into a vampire, put the hallow into her and kill her once more for good. Hope however still triggered her wolf.
