Everyone else left after the shift was over I wanted to stay a little longer one for having some privacy to fill out a application to be a paramedic for captain vega's team
I had all my stuff up to date the other day doing medical stuff for a rescue felt more at home than being a firefighter ever did but I wasn't even gonna get the spot she had a 100 other people who she could pick instead of me really it was a 1 to 99 chance I said to myself before sliding my application into the pile
I was walking out of the building when my phone rang
"Hey v what's up ?" I said
" Carlos is in the hospital .." she said
"What why ? never mind I'm on my way ." I said hanging up
When I got to the hospital v explained how he was attacked pretty bad on a call and the doctors had explained his injuries and what pills he will need and so on
" hey you .. how you feeling ?" I said walking to his bed
"Your here ." He said looking at my face
"Yeah baby I'm here ." I said pulling up a chair
"I feel like crap." He said
"Yeah the doctors said you're feel like that for a little longer till the meds kick in ." I said kissing his hand
" how bad is it ?"
"The truth ?" I said as he nodded
"Sprained ankle , broken rib, broken arm and a pretty deep cut on your head ." I said
"How long ?" Carlos said
" a month..two." I said
"Your on strict bed rest and no physical exertion so your stuck with me ." I said
"Couldn't have asked for anything better ." He laughed
