"No, why would you even ask?" He snorted, making me scoff in offense.
"They find out you're missing, I get in trouble and possibly killed." He explained, crossing his arms over his chest, looking down at me.
"No one will know." I said, trying to convince him to take me with him. No one will miss me. It's like the middle of the night anyways- not like the guards are on active duty.
"Yeah they will, y/n." He leaned closer, his voice having an edge of rasp to it.
"Will they kill us both or just me?" I chewed on my bottom lip, getting ready to just give up.
"Me. Your life as a player means a lot more to them."
"Who's them?"
With every short sentence that escaped our lips, we inched closer to eachother, until our faces were only a moment apart.
"I don't know. I'm about to go find out." He smirked, peeling away from what could have been and standing up straight.
"Please?" Whined, desperate to get away. Sure, it might be dangerous, but what about the past couple days hasn't been?
"I'm not risking your safety, y/n." He said, more sternly than before.
"I'll tell you everything I find tomorrow. All you have to do is survive from here on out." He said, popping his fingers before putting on the mask to leave. Ugh.
"Fine. Be careful, Junho." I said, before I reached into my pocket and pulled out the knife. I haven't used it since the massacre last night. Maybe I won't use it anymore. He needs it more than me.
"Take this. You can give it back tomorrow." I said in his ear as we walked back, slipping the knife in the pocket of his pants.
"Thanks." He replied in a quiet voice, moving his hand from my arm to the small of my back, applying pressure to make me walk faster.
I stiffened my posture, feeling pressure in my stomach. Damn butterflies.
As we approached the other guards, he tapped his fingers against my spine, dangerously close to the curve of my ass.
"Thanks." I smiled up at Junho, doing the same to the other masks. Not that they did anything to make me smile, I'm just in a good mood.

"Players, you are witnessing the fates of those who broke the rules of this world for their own benefit, and furthermore tainted the pure ideology of this world."
We walked up the bubblegum pink stairs, looking up at what the intercom was talking about.
Horrendous. The doctor guy with glasses was hung from the ceiling in a grisly manner, three other guards hanging beside him.
"Here you are all equal, with equal opportunity and no discrimination."
"We truly apologize for this tragedy."
Hanna gagged beside me, making her distaste audible. I was shocked, distraught. This is what happens when players and staff work together?
It hits a little close to home. If we aren't careful, it could be me and Junho next. I can't let that happen. Who knows how these guys got caught...
We all continued walking, leaving the grim scene. I'd better not push my luck.

This game required teams of two. Pairs. It was easy for Hanna and I to pair up, all we had to do was turn and shake eachother's hand.
