From Lust to Love: The Relationship of Love and Lust

Love and Lust

Love is an intense feeling of affection and care towards another person. It is a profound feeling towards someone. On the other hand, lust is a strong desire of our sexual nature. In love we don't care about what the other half lacks, or their weaknesses because in love you simply complete each other. Lust is more of a sexual desire, intention and admiration to the physical appearance. But can lust push you into loving someone?

Michael is a first year college student in the University of Stockholm when he and his friends we're walking around the school campus, he saw a beautiful young lady walking by, he got turned on by the way she walked and how appealing she was, she had a nice body, beautiful eyes, and a long blondish hair. Michael's friends saw him looking at the girl. Then they teased him and started joking around him about that beautiful young girl. "What's her name?" Michael asked to himself. Oh, she's so beautiful... Michael just stared at her as the wind blows through her hair.

After that day, he kept on looking for that girl and he kept talking to himself and thinking could he be in love with her. But Michael doesn't even know her.

Then one day, in the University cafeteria as Michael was eating his lunch his eyes caught a glance of a beautiful lady sitting in a table beside where Michael was eating, and that was her. Michael finished his lunch then fixed his hair a little bit to make himself more presentable and pleasing to the eyes. He took a deep breath and makes his way towards the beautiful girl and introduced himself to her until they had a nice conversation, then that was the time when he realized that he was really in love with her.

As the story tells us, we see appearance and attractiveness as things that draw us to fall in love. Lust has an important role for us being in love because it sends us messages and attraction to who we desire to love and be with. But sometimes love that came from lust is just an illusion created by lust itself to hide our very own lustful nature.
