I traced over the contour of his tattoos, admiring them. I knew Justin was looking down at me. We've been in the same position like this for the last 20 or so minutes. We were just talking about random things, or we would just get quite and look at the lake in front of us.

"Do you like San Fran?" Justin asked.

I shrugged carelessly, "It's alright." I answered.

"You know Al, I went there to look for you." He admitted quietly.

"Yeah I know, Pattie told me." I smiled.

It got silent again, just the sound of our breathing, people talking or dogs barking in the background, and birds chirping was heard.

"I've wrote some songs when you were gone." He said. "A lot, actually." He chuckled.

"Well you'll have to show me them someday." I said.

"Yeah," He said, "someday."

"Is there some special girl - you know - with you?" I teased, laughing a bit.

"Yes, and I'm talking to her right now." He giggled.

"No, I mean a girlfriend." I playfully rolled my eyes.

"You are a girl, and you are my friend." Justin said.

"Stooop." I whined. "You know what I mean. So is there?" I asked.

He chuckled as I felt him shake his head, "Nah, no girl but you are special to me right now." He said making my cheeks turn light pink in shade. "Is there a guy you're with, you know right now?" He asked.

"I mean, there's this one guy that's Michaels neighbor." I said, as I felt Justins' body tense up, in a possible angry way?

Justin

"What's his name?" I asked through my gritted teeth, trying my best to calm down, when really, my body was flaming in fire right now.

"His name is Nick and well, he's pretty cute." She shrugged making me shut my eyes.

Why? I always knew Al would never like me in that way, but I had hope in me she did. But no, right now she's talking about some random dude who's Michaels neighbor. I bet she barely knows the guy. All I want to do is pound the guy with my fist - which I always wanted to do to Al's crushes - and make sure he doesn't come near her again.

But then again, this is reality. This is something Al will be disappointed in me about. I barely have her back, I can't just ruin this for us by beating out the guy she "likes".

"What's he like?" I rolled my eyes.

"Well, he has black hair, he's big like you, 24 years old, he's--"

"Wait wait wait, he's 24?" I asked raising an eyebrow looking down at the top of her head.

She looked up at me, "Yeah, what's so wrong about that?" She asked.

"He's older than you-- hell he's older than me Al!" I explained getting frustrated at this conversation I wish I never continued.

"Jay relax, he's just 2 years older than me." She said still looking up at me.

"So? He's too old for you-- ugh, let's just change the subject." I grumbled looking away from her and looked at the lake.

She sigh and laid her head on my chest. I loved this position, but that stupid conversation had to ruin everything. Nick, hmm I know a guy named Nick. Nick Rammons, was it? I killed his father for many reasons, now I wasn't going to tell Al that of course. She can't hear about violence nor watch violence in real life, not under my condition she isn't.
