Chapter 1-

My life has been hecktick for as long as I can remember, being chased down by murderers that are trying to get their hands on my familys business, and being sent to different families by the FBI in hope of being normal again.

I'll never be normal again at least not until these guys are caught. I thought, while unpacking a few bags I brought from my last home I was at.

"Jamie, do you want one or two pancakes?" My aunt asked from the bottom of the stairs. I'm staying with the only family member I have left, my Aunt Sheila, she's not married, and have no kids. Agent Smith and Agent Kline thought I'd adapt better with someone who knew me a little btter.

"One please." I told Sheila as I heard her approache my room that's at the end of the hallway on the second floor.

"I'm glad you're staying with me." She said. "I'm sure you'll be more comfortable and feel safe being with someone you can trust."

"Yes thank you for metter me stay." I gave her a reassuring smile, and continued to put a few more clothes away into the closet.

"Listen Jamie, I know these past years have been tough, so I got you a small welcoming gift." Sheila said as she passed me a small rectangular box wrapped with green wrapping paper.

I opened it slowly, once I got all the wrapping paper off I realized what it was. "I wanted to make sure that if you were in a bad situation you could contact me." She gave me a new blackberry.

"I- I can't accept this.." I stuttered a little. I've never had a cell phone before, never even had my own bedroom until I came here.

"Please take it." Sheila said. "I'll feel a lot better knowing you can reach me if anything goes wrong."

"Okay, thank you so much." I said as I got up and gave her a huge hug.

"By the way your pancakes should be done." Sheila said as I nfollowed her down the hall, down the stairs, and through the living room and to the kitchen. I said down on a stool at the island as she slid a plate with a pancake on it. "Do you mind if I go and check out the neighbour hood when I'm finished?" I asked.

"Sure, don't be out too late." She said, as she sat down with her own pancake on her plate. Having breakfast for supper isn't all that bad.

I finished up my pancake and put my dirty dishes in the dishwasher, grabbed a sweater and headed out the door.

Late summer here in New Brunswick is a lot chillier compaired to Florida. I don't mind it here because it's so beautiful here, there's so many different kinds of trees and so many hills and mountains.

While walking down the road with my hands in my sweater pockets, I thought about what school might be like here. Sheila told me thatit starts tomorrow morning at 8:45 till 3, and she already bought everything I needed. I don't know where I'd be without her.

While walking down the road I noticed a few little kids playing street hockey. At least this neighbour hood isn't dead boring... I thought to myself.

I turned around the block and was aproaching a house where this guy who looks to be around my age, which will be seventeen in a week.

He was amazingly beautiful, he was topless with a waterhose cleaning off a lot of mud off of his black truck. He had a great summer tan, broad sholders from mostlikely plaing football, and an eight pack of abs. Then he looked at me, oh no, was I looking for too long? Then I stared at the sidewalk and kept walking. I thouht I should look up one last time before I walked by and I seen him looking at me and he smiled, I couldn't help but to blush and smile back.

By the time I finished walking around, it was getting dark out and I decided to turn around and go home. I walked past his house again, hoping he'd be outside still, but I knew he wouldnt. I was wrong, he was outside. He was cutting the grass, I suppose it makes sense because it really cools down at night compared to how much more warmer it is than in the daytime.

I took my time walking by, focusing on every step I took. I fixed by hair a little then looked in his direction, and he was looking at me. With my long dirty blonde hair blowing slightly in the nightly breeze, I smiled at him, and he waved back, then my stomach started turning and I got butterflies. I looked back don at my feet and walked back to the house without looking back.

When I got back to the house I grabbed a big glass of milk and went up to my room. I curled up i bed with a couple blankets and a book and drank my milk. When I finised my milk I turned off the lamp and feel asleep, hoping I'd dream of him.
