Chapter 2 (Part 1) - Assassinating using our talents

While I was on my way to the door, I heard Kurahashi Hinano's voice, a girl with short, wavy orange hair sitting at the first row.

"It would be nice if he brought back some souvenirs for us whenever he comes back from foreign countries," she said as she kept her books into her bag.

Our female class representative, Kataoka Megu, stopped by Kurahashi's table and smiled. "Who wants souvenirs from their assassination target?" She asked, curious of how her classmate thinks.

That got the conversation going. "Maybe something to eat?" Kurahashi suggested. "Maybe it wouldn't be so awkward then." She added, which made Kataoka comment on how she is oddly realistic.

Several others joined in the conversation. "What could he bring back from New York?" Isogai asked Maehara, who was in front of him. Maehara suggested that Korosensei could bring back beer, but we are obviously underage to drink, so...

"Snacks are still the best, huh?" Kurahashi concluded.

Suddenly, Okajima Taiga stood up. "Or maybe a blonde beauty!" He added while he squirmed around while the others agreed.

I sighed. Idiots. I turned to exit the door when I suddenly saw Karasuma standing there. I screamed again for the second time in shock, causing the others to stare at me and Karasuma looking at me in shock.

It was embarrassing! "S-Sorry, I was just shocked," I mumbled, and Karasuma shook his head, indicating that it was alright.

"How is it going? Are there any clues on how to kill him?" He asked right off the bat after noticing that Korosensei wasn't around.

With that question, everyone fell silent, despite the lively atmosphere the class had just a moment ago.

After several seconds, Hazama Kirara broke the silence. "Well, we are the E Class."

Then other students complained that it was impossible and that he was too fast, but after a few other complaints, Karasuma mentioned that we were the only ones who have the highest chance to kill him since we can assassinate him at close range. Besides, if we're too late, he would destroy the Earth next March, and we would be helpless, seeing that he could already turn the moon into a crescent shape in just one blow.

I could understand what he was trying to say, but I just don't get some things... Why did Korosensei insist on teaching us? Why does he want to destroy Earth?

And most of all...

What did he mean by he was born and raised on Earth? Did he used to be a human as well?

The next day during lunch, while I was eating with Nagisa and Kayano, I noticed Sugino sitting outside with Korosensei, which was pretty rare for him to do so, since he usually eats indoors with his friends. I leaned closer to Nagisa. "Hey, Nagisa, why is Sugino sitting outside with Korosensei?" I asked.

He looked outside for a moment and gasped as he stood up, holding his notebook. "I'll go hand in my assignment to Korosensei first," he said and went out, leaving me confused.

"Suzuki-chan, you didn't know? Sugino-kun tried to kill Korosensei with BB bullets embedded into his baseball yesterday morning, but failed," Kayano explained.

I see, so that's why... It's understandable, but isn't it okay if he failed? I mean, none of us have succeeded.

"I guess I'm a little slow when it comes to news," I laughed dryly.

To attempt to assassinate Korosensei, we need to be good at what we plan to do, since Korosensei finds out things quite easily. To be able to have an effective plan in killing him, we need to have an assassination which uses our talents. So that we could make full use of it and be able to save the human population from being killed by him.

So sorry! >< School's starting tomorrow after a week-long break, and then I wouldn't have much time to update. I'm so happy that the story has already gotten more than a hundred reads and some votes even though I posted the prologue less than a week ago! It really made my day!
