The city was in shambles, dead bodies everywhere. Screams so deafening they were starting to fade into nothing. Monsters flying all over New York, Y/N was wondering how long she'd be alive, half her soon to be colleagues were already dead and buried under the rumbles.
Out of all the days, things would go south, it had to be the day she had to go for an Interview at the Stark Tower. The group she was with had shattered and she'd gone up the elevator until she was in Tony Stark's living room, hiding behind the bar counter, too afraid to run.
"Oh God, please help me, Please, I don't want to die, not like this", Y/N sobbed. Another explosion from the roof erupted causing a slight tremor on the floor. She let out a small sound of fear, closing her eyes shut and praying harder.
"Who on earth are you supposed to be?" Said a voice that made her heart and breathing quicken all at once. "Are you one of Stark's machines?" He prompted.
"Please don't hurt me", she said her voice breaking. Her eyes were glued shut.
"Mmmmh mortals, always ready to surrender when it's already too late" he sighed, sounding bored. "You need to get out of here", he told her bitterly. "Better yet stay and watch as I take over your pathetic little city." Anger was replaced my fear as she finally conjured the courage to look at him and that's when she realized, it's the same man who was trying to make people in the streets a few days ago. "You," she said with hatred, her eyes pinned to his evil smirking face, "Kill me, she spat...death is better than any world ruled by a man like you",
"I thought I'd already made this clear with your people, there are no men like me mortal, I am doing all of you a favour, kneel to me and I will spare you from the burdens of freedom...I mean look at you, you're already on your knees, your eyes glazed with uncertainty and fear, it's not me you need to be afraid of though...No, with what's coming consider this a favour"
"Let me help you, I'll show you what being free from freedom feels like", he said walking towards her with his sceptre, her. Her breathing quickened, tears streaming down her eyes. His eyes pierced through her like she was a dirty stain on the green leather outfit he wore. He placed the sceptre under her chin lifting making her look into his eyes,
"Such a delicate creature you are", he smirked. He placed the sceptre in the middle of her breasts and smiled.
Her heart was hammering against her chest, palms sweating. The sharp edge of the sceptre in the middle of her chest, he eyes going dark from the blood pumping in her ears. She anticipated the pain, a moment passed then two, nothing the orb in the middle of the sceptre was glowing, she was waiting for him to plunge to through her chest, but he didn't. To her shock, he removed the sceptre from her chest and placed it on her lap, and knelt in front of her with his blue eyes now turned black facing down.
Before she could make sense of what had just happened, Tony Stark came in through what used to be a balcony before the destruction, he seemed puzzled by the sight of the man who was trying to take over the world kneeling in front of her. "Am I interrupting something?" he asked fitting in what looked like metal wrist bands on both his hands,
You know I have a bedroom here if you and Loki wanna make yourself at home.
As if a switch had been flipped, Loki grabbed his sceptre so quickly from Y/N lap that the blade knicked her thigh leaving a gash and a streak of blood pooling as if to leave a permanent mark that it was there. "Ahhh" y/n cried out reaching for her fresh wound. He looked at her with the same coldness from before as he aimed for her face. Tony swooped in fast enough and pushed her out of the way, the force made her hit her head on the wall and all she saw was darkness and a voice telling her to run.
