It was finally Friday and Mia felt one week closer to the big move date and when she realized that, for a while, she was able to forget everything and couldn't feel happier.

Today Mia was going to a video call with someone from one of her possible dorms and she was beyond excited. This wasn't the first dorm she contacted but all the other ones had something missing, or maybe she was just being picky. There was a decision to be made and it had to be the right one, after all, she was going to live there... on her own for a couple of years.

So far, she knew she wanted a room for herself, even if small because privacy was a must, and Mia was well aware that not all university students take things seriously. Going to a party here and there and having some fun was definitely not the issue, even though that was not her thing, but imagining having someone bursting in the room frequently completely drunk and making lots of noise in the middle of the night was a big no-no.

When Mia's phone started ringing a well-known song to her, she made her run for it making a high pitch note with glee. She was met with the face of a woman in her 30's who was wearing a big pearly smile.

"Hello! You must be Mia" the woman greeted her "my name is Sara and I'm calling to show you the premises of our dorm, including your room."

"Hi! Yes! I'd like that very much!" Mia smiled back and held her phone closer to her face to be able to see every detail more clearly.

Sara proceeded to show her the common areas first. The reception had a rustic yet chic charm to it and several colored flowers were placed carefully giving it a joyful feeling.

Then Sara moved to the rooms in the back that she called the lounge rooms and explained that most students often come here to hang together. Mia could see herself there, sitting by the window writing a paper and maybe drinking hot cocoa or, at the ping pong table enjoying a game with her new friends.

There were several other common are spaces like a room to watch movies and a mini gym and Mia loved every single one of them. To finish Sara showed Mia her possible future room. It had a magnet board with Mia's name on it decorated with hand-drawn flowers that Sara has previously written to make it cozier. The decoration was along the line of the reception but cleaner to leave room for the students to make their own decoration. The room was filled with light coming from a big window right by the desk, a big bed, and enough storage room. It was spacious enough that it wouldn't feel clustered, and the best part was the small yet private bathroom.

The kitchen was shared with five other rooms and it felt spacious, there were locked cabinets to store our food and 2 fridges to share.

"You know what Sara? I'm sold! I do want that room." Mia concluded with a dreamy smile on her face.

Sara gently explained her next steps to rent the dorm room and so Mia got everything ready for her big move. She was so happy that the day went by in a rush.

At night she was daydreaming about the Lisa Life dorms and her future when she was interrupted by her phone chirping.

"Tomorrow I will be there at 5 PM. You're going!" that was an ultimatum from her best friend Dina but at that moment, she felt so happy that she was determined to enjoy her last few days with her friend. Normally parties weren't her thing but this time she was ready to agree without any complaints.

Message from author: Hello everyone! Thank you so much to everyone who is reading this! I know the chapters are a bit small but I'll try my best to post every day. I used to be the author of a webcomic on Webtoons by the name "Cyber Academy" but unfortunately with work, it consumed way too much of my time. I love storytelling so I decided to give writing a try instead.

This is a brand new story and I hope you enjoy it!
