I woke up early. I was so excited for the first day of high school! 8th grade wasn't as fun, but I bet this year is gonna be. I rushed to Michael's room to wake him up. "MICHAEL MICHAEL WAKE UP!!!" "TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!" I exclaimed. "Urrgh... Keith... It's 4 AM, we get ready at 5..." Michael said, tired. "Who cares? This year will be a blast!" I said. I rushed out his room to go wake up Miles and Rosie But the second I got in, in Miles' room, he was up. And Rosie was walking out her door. I shrugged, and went to go brush my teeth.

"Bye mom, bye dad!" I said "Bye honey! Have a wonderful day first day of school!" Mom said "Stay safe out there! Bye!" Dad said. We went on the bus, and I sat next to Pico. He's my best friend, but also my ex. We've been friends since 1st grade. "Hey Pico! What's up!" I exclaimed, sitting down next him. "Not my mood." Pico said. "What's wrong?" I asked. "High school is gonna suck, that's what!" He shouted. "What! No, high school is gonna be fun!" I said. "That's what you think." "In high school, there is way more work, ruder teachers, crappy lunch, and more bullies!" Pico exclaimed. Is that really true? Why was I so excited for high school anyways? We arrived at the school, and I got off the bus. The school looked huge. I gulped. "Well, here goes nothing..."
