Chapter 1 - You still protect me

Nightmare's P.O.V
I paced in my throne room, the dim candle light flickering around me. I needed to gather more negativity as I felt a little weaker than normal. I kept pacing, taking the pocket watch I had out of my pocket.

6:45pm

It's that early? Huh. I sighed and put it back in my pocket. I wandered out of the throne room and down the hall to the kitchen. I noticed the others kind of huddled up in the corner, talking quietly. Strange but not unusual. They did this quite often. I moved past them and went into the fridge to get something when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Boss?" Killer. I turned slightly. "Yes? What is it?" He looked at the others then back at me. "The star sanses are here in the castle." I kinda froze then pushed him aside. "HOW THE HELL DID THEY GET IN?! YOU GUYS WERE SUPPOSED TO WATCH THE DAMN PLACE!!" Dust tried to say something but I cut him off by putting a tentacle over his mouth. "Shut up. I hear something."

Cross and Horror went on alert. Killer and Dust were on either side of me and I have no idea where the hell Error was. He left a while ago and didn't say where he was going. I tensed up and turned just as the others did, Horror growled and ran in front of me, taking a hit from what looked like one of my brothers arrows. "Horror!!" I caught him in one of my tentacles and scowled, watching as my brother and his 'friends' appeared from the shadows. The other 3 ran forward to shield me.

Their protecting me..? I know they listen to me but they've never done this before. They let me handle myself.. I thought furiously. It made me mad that they dared to hurt them. Even if it's happened before.

They're protecting me...but it's my turn to protect them.
