Selenia: A Minimoy Story begins when Selenia is 500 years old, or five years old if she was a human.
This brings up a bit of confusion.
The age of a Minimoy is the same as a Human when one is, for example, 500 years old, in human years they are five and act like a human child at that certain age.
Minimoys mature when they are seven hundred years old, they also become an adult when they reach a thousand years of age.
I hope this is understandable and clears up some of the information in the story.
(Please note that this is how I interpret the age of Minimoys and I do not consider them aging up to, for example. 501 502 and so on)

Some lore referenced from the movies will be missing but a couple will be addressed during the chapters, keep in mind this is Selenia's story and will ONLY FOCUS ON KEY PARTS OF HER EARLY LIFE BEFORE ARTHUR, EVERYTHING THAT THIS BOOK WILL SHOWCASE WILL LEAD TO THAT FAITHFUL DAY...
