George had never been the most exciting person to look at. He had pale skin and dark brown eyes that were so dark he thought that they were black for the most of his life. His hair was wooly and fluffy which reached just below his eyebrows.
George slightly opened his eyes as he peeked through the window. He yawned quietly as he looked around to see that all the other boys had gone downstairs for breakfast. He chucked on a pair of sweatpants and a shirt.
George grabbed a slice of toast and an apple and sat next to the seat Karl had saved for him. "Morning sleepyhead!" Karl said. "Morning." George replied taking a bite out of his toast. "Guess what?" Karl exclaimed. "What?" George replied with an unphased look. Nothing exciting ever happened at the orphanage, except for that one time a concert came to sing to them, but all they sang were Christmas Carol's.
"Apparently, two new boys are coming to the orphanage!" Karl beamed.
George nearly choked on his toast.
What..?
Did George hear that correctly? NEW students? It had been 5 years since a new student had come to the Orphanage. It's not like many parents wanted to give their children away to an orphanage, but new students? That wasn't something you would hear every day.
The news was spreading quickly like wildfire. Everyone was buzzing around hoping that there were new students. Many of the female's were hoping they were handsome, while some just wanted to know what all the gossip was about.

I yawned as I got my luggage off the small bus. Nick, my best friend, ran next to me and pulled out his own suitcase before the bus drove off. I sighed and pulled my bag along the cobblestone ground before looking up at the massive building in front of me. This dump was going to be my new home.
My mum was homeless, yep, you heard that right. She would stand on the side of the road with a mug in her hand hoping for someone to give her money. I loved her dearly, but she knew that having a child with no money at all was a problem. So, as I grew the more she decided that I was useless. My mum then decided to put me in the orphanage, if she put me in the adotion centre, she knew that know one liked to adopt teenagers, even though she hated me, she wasn't a cruel person, she wanted me to grow up in a nice home. Since that wasn't the option, she put me in a crusty orphanage.
Nick threw his arm around my shoulder as we walked together into the orphanage. A tall, skinny lady with long, thick, black hair appeared around the corner. Both boys assumed that she was the Warden. "Hello boys, I'm guessing you two are new here?" "Yes ma'am." The two boys replied in sync. The both looked at each other awkwardly.
"Follow me." The warden instructed. The two boys followed her down to some massive hall with a lot of beds in the middle. The lady pointed her finger at two beds near the corner of the room. "Those will be your beds." She grunted. The two boys walked up to the beds and put their luggage in a drawer under the beds.
I remember the time Nick and I first met, we saw each other at a small park near his mom's small business. According to him, his family was rich. He always complained about being wealthy, meanwhile the rest of family enjoyed being so successful. His mum never had time for him, so he ran away. A young lady found him and brought him to the orphanage. He was hoping to start a new life there and make new friends.
That was until they both moved to this orphanage.
The boys sighed,
"Wanna get some lunch?.." Clay offered.
Nick turned to face his friend, "yeah, sure I guess," He mumbled. Clay laughed at his best friend's state. The two boys knew that this orphanage was going to be a living nightmare. They both smiled as they walked downstairs into the cafeteria.
