"Kil, are you sure about this?"
"I have never been more sure of anything in my life."
The two Zoldyck brothers got into the car and began to drive away from the Zoldyck manner.
Killua turned 18 recently, and since he's now officially an adult he's entitled to make his own decisions, so his first decision was to run away from home and away from his over baring parents.
Killua comes from a family of assissins and despite him having two older brothers, Killua was next in line to take over the family business. Why exactly? Well Killua couldn't tell you, all he knew was he hated it, and he hated his parents because of it.
Illumi felt bad that his little brother was put under all this stress. He knew he didn't deserve it and he did everything in his power to support his little brother which Killua truly appreciated him for even though he's never verbally said it.
Killua's never been one to vocalize his true emotions for anything because he's always found it embarrassing. Lame excuse, I know, but that's just how Killua is.
As the two brothers were driving down the road they eventually made it to the docks as Killua would be traveling to his destination by boat.
"You really wanna travel by boat all the way to Whale Island?" Illumi asked eying his little brother.
"Yeah, it puts a good distance between me and our parents. It's also a small island so I doubt their rich, spoiled asses even know it exists. Besides, I was already accepted into the university so there's not point in turning back now." Killua said getting out of the car and grabbing his luggage.
"Fair point." Illumi shrugged helping Killua with his luggage. They got everything onto the boat. They were now standing on the dock saying their goodbyes.
"Well, guess I'll see ya later." Killua said with his hands in his pockets.
"I guess so." Illumi responded looking out towards the sea. Killua held his head down for a brief moment before looking back up to his older brother.
"Hey Illumi?" Illumi looked towards Killua.
"Yeah?" Suddenly Killua pulled Illumi into a hug.
"Thank you..." Killua muttered into his brother's shoulder feeling his face heat up from embarrassment but he felt like a thank you was the least he could give to his brother in this moment. He didn't just mean thank you for helping him get away from the family, but for supporting him throughout everything he's been through. All his life, Killua felt like he only had two people he could fall back on and trust. His older brother Illumi and his little sister Alluka. But ever since Alluka passed away, it's just been Illumi.
Killua was devastated over his sisters death and went into a deep state of depression ever since. While he still hasn't fully recovered, Illumi has been there to support Killua ever since and Killua was truly grateful for that.
Illumi knew this as a small smile crept onto his face and he hugged his little brother back.
"Anytime..." They pulled away and Illumi placed his hand on Killua's shoulder. "I'll see you around little brother." Killua gave him a smile and nodded before getting on the boat.
As the boat left the port Killua ran to the rear of the boat and looked out toward his older brother who waved at him with a small smile. Killua smiled and waved back as the boat continued out to sea, becoming but a small speck in the distance.

The boat had finally pulled to the port. Killua grabbed his luggage and got off the boat quickly, damn near fearing that if he stayed on for too long the boat would take him back to the mansion on Kakaroo mountain he was forced to refer to as home for the past 18 years.
