The Missing Princess

Chapter 1

'Ariana get back here', Cynthia said. 'But I wanna play' the little girl says back to her friend.

'Your parents will come back real soon Ariana. We've got to get you ready' , Cynthia says again sounding frustrated.

'Aww, please don't get angry at me. I'm one of your favorite people. Oh actually the only one', the little girl replies.

'Come on, let's go. It's really hard trying to get around this house with you', Cynthia said.

They two made their way to the little girl's room. 'You my friend need a shower', Cynthia said.

After the shower Cynthia quickly gets Ariana dressed. 'Now you look pretty just like the princess you are', Cynthia says to Ariana.

'Thank you', Ariana says to her. 'You are welcome', Cynthia says to the little girl grinning. 'Come on, your parents are waiting for you', she says again to Ariana.

'Hi mom and dad', Ariana says to her parents .

'Hi dear. How are you doing?' Her father, the king asks her.

'Fantabulous' Ariana replies back excitedly. 'How was your day?' Ariana asks her parents.

'Great, we were able to communicate with one of our neighboring countries that will be visiting us sometime this week', Her mom says to her as she ruffles her hair.

'You are going to make my hair messy Mom', Ariana says readjusting her hair perfectly.

'Ah, see my little one, already showing us how mature she is even though she's still young', her father says.

'I thought we were on the topic of a neighboring country coming to visit', Ariana says to her parents trying to get them back on the topic.

'Oh yeah, we got sidetracked on your hair and how fast you are growing', her mother says with a smile lingering on her face.

'Yeah, I agree with your mom, but back to the topic dear. The neighboring country coming have been our allies for a long time now and we plan on keeping it that way, dear', her father says.

'The King, Queen and Prince would be lodging with us. So that means, no pulling of pranks when they are around. Is that clear, young lady? her mom says sternly looking at her.

'Yes mom', Ariana says looking down at her shoes.

'Good, now all that is needed is that we arrange the place and keep everything intact', her dad said looking around.

'But that's no problem dad the house is in its best state. Plus all that you need to do now is to get the documents ready', Ariana said to her parents.

'I see our daughter is really growing. Good point there little one. Come on, dinner is ready', her dad says as he leads them to the dinning hall.

'Thank you Sophia, the food was really delicious', Ariana's parents said to the cook.

'Are you going to bed now honey,' Ariana's mom asks her.

'No please, I'll be helping Cynthia clean up', Ariana replies to her mom.

'Okay dear', her mom says as she leaves the dinning room.

'Come on we've got a lot to clean before you go to bed', Cynthia says as she starts picking up the dishes to get them clean.

'I'll wash the dishes and you will rinse them. Is that okay?' Cynthia says

'Yeah', Ariana replies as she picks up the remaining dishes and heads to the kitchen with Cynthia.

'Well my job here is done. You can thank me later', Ariana says as she washes her hands under the sink.

'Good night little princess. Don't let the bed bugs bite', Cynthia says to her.

'Good night, bye. Don't dream too much about me', Ariana says as she heads out of the kitchen to her parents.

'Mom, Dad it's time for the bedtime story', Ariana says to her parents.

'Then let's go before the time ticks away', her dad says as he carries her and leads his wife by the hand to their daughter's room.

'Good night dear', her parents say after reading to her her bedtime story.

'Good night Mom and Dad', Ariana says sleepily.
