Summary

Annie and Jack are tweens that just moved to California. They have never met each other before, but little do they know that they will fall madly in love with each other.

SCENE

INTRODUCTION

Annie is a 11-year-old girl who is born in Toronto, Canada. Her father is a world traveler. Wherever he goes, Annie goes to, so they are barely home. Annies mom is a baker. Whenever she comes home from school, she smells the warm pastries fresh from the oven. Sometimes on tour, she wishes that her mom could come with them.

Jack is a 12-year-old boy from Austin, Texas. His mom is an opera singer and his dad is a businessman. They are always called for meetings or performances so they are rarely home. This does not bother Jack though, because his friend Mason is always coming to his house.

CALIFORNIA CALL

Five months go by.

On one of the tours that Annie and her dad went on, Annie took a stand.

Dad, I know that this is coming out of nowhere, but can we go and live in California? I love traveling with you, but I want to live a normal life, staying in one place, said Annie.

Annies dad took a big pause, let out a large sigh and responded, yes sure. I do understand the problems of traveling. Should we leave in a month?

REALLY DAD? answered Annie excitedly.

Her dad took a pause, he thought to himself, then he answered, YES!

It was at that time when Jack got the house phone and dialed his dad. His parents are ALWAYS busy, so he was shocked when his dad picked up.

Hey dad. I have a question. Can we move to California? asked Jack.

Hey kiddo. Yes, that is exactly what I wanted to talk to you about. I got a job offer in California. I was going to tell you about this sooner but I did not want to hurt you. I am glad I did not. We leave in a month, the dad answered, so relieved to get something off his shoulder.

YAY, thank you dad. I will begin packing right now, Jack hung up the phone and he ran to his room and began packing.
