the scholar, the god

He was walking through an old alleyway. Even though he knew it probably wasn't safe to go, at least not for a normal human. But no one would even dare to think about attacking one of his kind. Of course not. He knew that this was the fastest way to get to the library, so why wouldn't he use it?
After a couple of minutes he arrived at the tall doors of his so dearly beloved library. He was well known amongst the librarians. To be fair he was well known among the general population as well. He was one of the smartest scholars in the kingdom after all. His huge body barely fit through the already tall doors. He took off his hood and breathed in. Oh, how he loved the smell of books.

The tall piglin looked around and seemed to come to the conclusion that it was safe. His body started shrinking, and his head started becoming more and more human like. If anyone were to see him during this grotesque transformation they probably would have been rather disturbed. His arms started getting longer and thinner and, instead of his typical piglin paws, hands started growing. Around 10 minutes later a humanoid being stood right where the piglin started transforming. Of course they were the same person. Long pink pink hair with some brown strands, a pair of hooves and the long ears started being the only things to remind others of his piglin form.

He walked towards the second door, leading to the actual library. Pushing it open, he was welcomed by a young blond boy. He wasn't very fit for a library job, for that he didn't love books enough. "GOOD EVENING SIR BLADE" ,the boy blurted out. "Hello, theseus, are you helping your mother again?" The piglin asked in an attempt to seem friendly. It didnt quite seem to work, since the boy now started to look rather worried. "Sir blade of course not, shes not in town right now because she had to go get something important" The piglin looked up from the book he was looking through, "what a shame, i had some questions to ask her", he put the book back where he found it. "So young theseus, since I can't do what I came here for, would you like hearing some nether stories? Or would you rather have me tell you about the gods?" "TECHNO YOU KNOW I CANT CHOOSE", the young boy replied, "HOW ABOUT YOU TELL ME STORIES OF NERHER GODS?" the piglin chuckled "I knew you'd say that theseus. I guess it's time for you to get comfy because this is going to be a long story."

"Long ago, back when no one would have even thought about something living in the nether, someone angered the end godess. It was one of her children. A young god, cunning and loyal, but also rather violent.
He got in a fight with one of his siblings, and accidentally wounded them. Now the end godess doesn't like it when her children fight, she's a godess of home and family after all. And family is peace. She decided to banish the god to the nether, unknowing that this would be where he'd be strongest. The god spent his time training and working on his plan. He started experimenting with combining pure rage and strategic thinking. It took him centuries to figure it out, but he had all the time he wanted. When he felt ready, he called for his mother to make a deal with her.
He wanted to fight the sibling who started it all. Who got him banished.
If he were to win, he would be granted the power of creation. But if his opponent were to win, he would give up his godly powers. The godess agreed to the deal and so, after each had three months to prepare for the fight, the day had come where the siblings would have to fight.
All deities came to watch.

It was an entertaining fight. Once it seemed the nether-God would win and once he seemed to lose. Five days they fought. Five days without a break. They were getting tired but neither wanted to show it. They just kept fighting. One last time the  nether-God channeled all his energy, to remind him of his training.
One last push.
One last violent stabbing motion.
His opponent was almost down.
With a roar, loud enough to make a human go deaf just from listening, he stormed in the direction he had last seen him. The god felt his sword hit flesh.
He did it.
He had impaled his brother.
After all, he had won.
However, he was so powered by rage, that he hadn't noticed his brother pushing his sword in the nether-gods guts. Both fell over, out of energy and tired from the fight.
Neither had won.
They couldn't win against each other.
The end godess stood up to go to her children. She calmed them, and took care of them. Neither had won. She couldn't reward them. The deal couldn't be completed. The godess did, however realize, that the reason this happened in the first place, was because she had banished her child.
It took her a long time to come up with a way to ask her son for forgiveness. She decided to crown him.
It was a beautiful ceremony.
Dark, but beautiful.
And thus the blood God, Caedus became the ruler of the nether. He and his mother worked together to form his dimension to his will. They created piglins, ghasts and all other kinds of possible inhabitants. His personal favourites were the piglins.
After a while of living there he decided to choose some piglins, that he could lend parts of his powers to. They were strong and feared among the other nether beings. But also respected. They created temples to put their sacrifices for the blood god. The ones in his favour were called piglin brutes. They took care of the place and defended it from enemies. The brutes were the highest ranked among piglins.
Legend says that only the God's chosen ones could say his name."

Technoblade laughed. It had gotten late but he liked the night. "So, little theseus, did you like the story of the nether god?" The boy seemed scared, but excited "I LOVED IT TECHNO! DO YOU THINK THAT HES REAL? AND IF YES DO YOU THINK I COULD BECOME A BRUTE ASWELL?" Of course he'd ask that. The scholar smiled "I do think he's real. I think that all mythology is real. And to answer your question, young one, I don't think you'd be able to be a brute but the other gods are also known for choosing mortals to hold their power. I feel like you'd fit well for drista." "Who?" Theseus seemed to find that a lot less exciting than being a brute. "That's a story for another time, its late and I've got to work now. I'd be glad to tell you more stories about the gods another time though."
