Chapter 29

"Is it true that your mom is a mistress?" he suddenly asked so I stopped eating

"No"

"I'm glad to hear that"

After we eat he still follow me outside. I don't have friends anymore that's why I'm always alone. All eyes are on him while we're walking

"Where's your room?" he asked so I pointed the first room on 3rd floor

"So you're in section one. You're probably smart"

"Yes, I am" I confidently said which made him laugh

"I didn't expect you to admit it right away. I thought you will act humble just like the other people I encountered before"

"I'm just telling the truth"

I decided to go back to my room after the break. All my classmates approached me and asked about Beomgyu. I just ignored all of them because I don't know that much about them

After our classes ended, I'm shocked when Beomgyu approached me on the gate. He offered to carry my bag. I let him carry my bag because I can knock him out easily if he tries to run away with my bag

We just talked while we're walking. I can't understand why he's sticking with me but I'm glad that I have someone to talk to right now

I learned things about him and one of them is that he's studying in Seoul and that he's an honor student

"I want to be friends with you. I find you interesting"

That's what he said when we reached my house. I don't know how to react when he said that because we just met and he suddenly told me that he wants to be friends with me and that he find me interesting

"I also want to be friends with y---"

I can't continue what I was supposed to say when I heard my mom and dad shouting at each other. I immediately entered the house and saw my dad crying on the floor. My mom was also crying on the corner

"What happened? Mom? Dad?" I asked but my dad just gave me a dirty look

"Don't call me dad anymore. You're not my daughter!"

I looked at him and my mom confusedly but they both can't look at me in the eyes

"What are you saying?" I asked

"The rumors are true about your mom. She's a mistress and you're a mistake"

I experienced my first heartbreak that time. But what breaks my heart even more was the fact that Beomgyu heard everything

My supposed to be a friend heard that my mom is a mistress and that I'm a mistake

I just cried the whole night. My mom tried to talk to me but I'm too mad at her. I lost a potential friend because of them

Tomorrow that day I still attended school. The number of my bullies rose up because of my cousin. My cousin confirmed that my mom was a mistress but I can't do anything  because it's true

While I was on my first class my teacher called me for a recitation. My mind was too spaced out to answer her questions. Gladly, the school's principal came

"We have a new student" he announced and there, Beomgyu entered the room wearing our school uniform

Our eyes immediately met. He smiled at me but I looked away. I'm too embarrassed to face him. He's probably teasing me because of what he witnessed

"I'm Choi Beomgyu, I hope we can get along well"

The teacher asked him to choose his seat. All of my classmates are dying to be his seatmate but he chose to sit beside me
