As I lay there, in my room, it smells of oak leaves, and a bit of a scent of my mothers perfume. I was getting ready to study for my History Exam. As I was studying, i had heard my mom & my Step-Father arguing. As the yelling had worsened, my little brother Jake ran into my room, screaming & crying to me.. As I was hugging him, I had told him to stay in my room, so I could go see what's going on downstairs. As he had nodded his head a bit, I went down the long wooden stairs, and I had stood behind a wall, because I didn't want them to notice that I was there. As I was standing there, I had heard my mother telling my Step-Father that he was CHEATING on her!! As I heard them yelling, I decided that it was time to intervene between the two of them and their fight. As I had rushed into the kitchen, I had asked what was going on..
