First And Last

I ran.

All I wanted to do is hide. I felt I could never be seen in public again. My life was over. I didn't know where I was going, I just ran. In the distance,  I could hear Lizzy and her friends gigging and calling me a 'cowerd' and an 'ugly bitch'.

It hadn't even been five minutes of coming in and I am already running. I saw a door; it had a sign: 'CLEANING ROOM, DO NOT ENTER'. I didn't pay attention to that and charged straight in; banging into a load of mops and brushes. I locked the door, standing in complete darkness. A few moments later, I felt against the wall trying to find the switch for the light; I did.

As the light flickered on, I realised the room of which I was standing in was quite small and cluttered. Quickly, my mind switched to what had just happened with Lizzy and the rest of ninth grade, I sobed, a loud sob. My legs turned weak; as I fell to the ground, a few mops had fell to the side knocking over other mops, like dominos.

I knew for a fact that this day at this school was going to be my first and last.
