• First Day ~ Part One •

"Have you worked on a set before?" Jennifer asks you.
"I mean, yes, but nothing like this. I've done some extra work and a few guest star and co-star roles on TV shows; some plays and commercials, but I've never worked on a film before. The best job I ever had was a guest star role on Secret Invasion for Marvel when I was 17. It was only supposed to be for one episode, but they ended up putting my character in a few more. It was something with the storyline."
"Wow! That's so cool! Well, congrats. Welcome to the movie actress life," she laughs, and you join in.
"Have you ever been to L.A. before?" she inquires.
"Actually, no. I haven't. This is my first time, if you could believe it," you chuckle.
"That's okayyy," she says jokingly, trying to make you not feel bad about never visiting the city - let alone the state.
"I just got here last night, and I already love it. I drove my car from New York - again, if you could believe it - since I knew I was gonna be here a while, and I didn't want to be without it."
"Wow. How long was that drive?" she laughs.
"Mm, about three days, but I stopped at a hotel three nights ago in Chicago, and another hotel in Colorado two nights ago. I did not want to go without sleeping that long just to get here earlier. That's dangerous, let alone very difficult and exhausting," you both laugh.

You get a knock on your door again, but this time, you know for sure it's Alicia.

"Come in!" you yell.

"Hi Y/N!  Oh, hey Jennifer!  I see you've met Y/N!" Alicia says.
"Yes!  I figured I'd stop in and say hi.  Are they ready for us?" she replies, standing up.  You follow.
"Yup!  I was gonna bring Y/N to the trailer since she doesn't know where it is yet."
"I could take her!  I got here early, so I decided to do some exploring.  I kind of found it a half hour ago," Jen laughs awkwardly.
"Oh, uh, sure!  Thanks, Jen!" Alicia says, sounding kind of surprised.
"Yeah, haha, no problem!" she replies.

Alicia leaves, and you follow Jen out the door, shutting it behind you.

"So, uh, you said you're from New York.  Are you moving out here?" Jennifer asks you.
"Yeah, actually.  When I was in college, I was staying in my parents' condo in Manhattan, but I'm actually from Long Island.  After I graduated in May, I stayed in Manhattan, but I occasionally spent a weekend or a week or so back on Long Island with my parents.  I've been looking for a place out here for a while now, cause I've been planning on moving here after college.  I was just hoping it would be right after I graduated, but, apparently, God had something else in mind," you laugh nervously, and Jennifer joins in.  "I just found a place here in June, and I was finishing up the financial stuff and starting to pack up all my stuff.  I actually was planning on moving in next week, so when I found out I got this job, which my manager called and told me about on Thursday, I finished packing up everything as quickly as I could, stopped off at my old house to get all my stuff there, and spent the night, and I left early Friday morning.
"Wow.  Perfect timing!" Jennifer replies.
"Yeah, it is," you laugh.  "I only have to stay at a hotel for a week, thank God."

You both laugh.

"Here it is, the hair and makeup trailer," Jennifer announces, with jazz hands.

"Thank you," you laugh, and she joins in, kind of embarrassed.

You two walk into the hair and makeup trailer, still laughing.  Who else is sitting there?  Two people.  One of them is your friend from Secret Invasion, Chloe Bennet!

"Oh my gosh!  Hey, Chloe!" you exclaim, and walk over to give her a hug.
"Hey, Y/N!" she says, standing up.  "I haven't seen you in forever!  What a surprise!  I didn't know you were working on this!  When you told me you were coming to L.A. to work on a film, I didn't know it was this one!  They just told me yesterday, and I forgot to call you."
"Oh, don't worry about it!  Chloe, this is Jennifer."  You turn to Jen.  "Jennifer, this is Chloe!"

Chloe looks shocked, and says, "Hi!  Oh my gosh, it's so nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you, too!" Jennifer replies.

Chloe turns to introduce you to the other person.  When you were talking to Chloe, Jennifer casually went over to the other person and started talking to her.  It seems that they had said hi to each other earlier, since there was no introduction, and it sounded like they were picking up a conversation.  They didn't greet each other like it had been awhile.  They seemed like close friends, although you didn't even look to see who it was yet.  You were too busy talking to Chloe to even think about who the other person might be.

"Y/N, this is Emma!" Chloe says, smiling.

Oh my gosh.  It's Emma Stone.

"Hi, Y/N, it's so nice to meet you!  I'm such a huge fan.  You did an amazing job on Secret Invasion," she says to you.
"Oh my gosh, thank you so much.  It's so nice to meet you!  I'm such a huge fan, are you kidding me?!" and both of you blush, flattered with the compliments, and nervous to be meeting each other.

Chloe and Jennifer laugh.

"She did the same thing when she met me, you know.  Except she just gave me a shocked and anxious face when she saw me and I introduced myself," Chloe says, laughing.
"Yup, she did the same thing when I met her ten minutes ago," Jennifer says, also laughing.
You and Emma join in, still blushing, except you are blushing even more, and Emma is blushing less.

Your makeup artists and hair stylists introduced themselves to you guys.  Chloe and Emma had already met theirs, but they introduce themselves again so you and Jennifer can know who they are.

"Hi, I'm Heather, Y/N's hair stylist, and this is Maria, her makeup artist!" Heather says enthusiastically to you and everyone else.
"I'm April, Jennifer's makeup artist, and this is Opal, her hair stylist," April says to Jennifer and everyone else.
"I'm Autumn, Chloe's makeup artist, and this is Avery, her hair stylist," Autumn says.
"And I'm Claire, Emma's makeup artist, and this is Nadia, her hair stylist!" Claire exclaims.

"Nice to meet you guys!" you all say.
"You too!"

"You guys can sit down, and we'll get started," Heather says, smiling.

You guys sit down where your makeup artists and hair stylists are.  In order from who is sitting from left to right, it's Chloe, you, Jennifer, and then Emma.  Your hair stylists and makeup artists begin.

"Let me just take your ponytail out," Heather says, handing you your scrunchie.
"Wow, you have gorgeous hair, Y/N!  Did you curl it, or is it naturally like that?" she asks.
"My hair's naturally curly," you answer, smiling.
"Wow, you're so lucky!  And this is a gorgeous color!  Is that natural, too, or do you dye it?" she inquires, running her fingers through your dirty blonde hair, full of its light blonde and light brown highlights.
"It's natural," you smirk, blushing.
"Oh my gosh, you're so lucky.  If I were you, I wouldn't dye this ever, unless you have to for work!"
"Thank you," you laugh.
"You have gorgeous hair!  Oh my gosh!" Emma states.
"It's so pretty," Jennifer chimes in.
"I love it so muchhhh!  I'm actually jealous," Chloe laughs.
"Thank youuu so much!  You guys are so nice," you answer, still smiling and blushing.
