"We shouldn't have people afloat
If it was safer on the ground, we wouldn't be on a boat"
Jade's pov
I do not like Germany, Sam I am.
In fact, I dislike Germany so much I cannot remember a single time where this game wasn't happening. It's been at least three years since the whistle blew. Maybe even ten.
I've lost precious seconds off my once exuberant life.
Mom looks just as annoyed as I am. Or maybe that was just her face. On second thought, that's probably just her face.
I could barely see the bench from where I'm sitting. I could only just barely see Christen, she seemed relaxed or at the very least resigned.
I'm not sure why I'm thinking about Christen at all right now. Especially with the game just now getting interesting. But sometimes I just can't help it.
JJ just gave up a penalty. I'm not really worried. I watched all of those boring tapes with Mom already. She'll be fine.
There's nothing that would nor should ever come little infatuation with Christen considering she's 2 and half years older than me. And also because I think she likes Tobin and hates me anyway.
I don't tear my eyes away from Christen even when she and the rest of the crowd cheer for the penalty Mom saved. Or rather Sasic missed. But I'm still counting this one for Mom.

I jumped on Kelley's back as soon as I saw her. She grunted and slowed. I slapped her on the shoulder, "Don't grunt. You're a professional soccer player and I'm a 15 year old girl. I should not be heavy to you."
"You're a 15 year old girl with a giant for a mother. I don't know if you've noticed but you're taller than me, Child. You are indeed heavy." Kelley continued to walk forward despite her oh so heavy burden that is me.
"Whatever. Mom is still taller than me. I think I'm peaking. Anyway, you played really well. Your goal was cool. Looked like you were flying." I slid down Kelley's back until I was walking next to her. Oh. Maybe I am taller than her.
"Felt like I was too." Kelley nodded proud of herself.
"I saw you feel up my Mother after the game." I pointed an accusatory finger at her. I'm joking but she doesn't need to know that.
I let her sputter in fear for a few solid seconds before taking pity on her. Her awkwardness was only funny within the first few seconds. After awhile it would just get sad.
"I-I-didn't..."
I rolled my eyes, "Oh my God. This is getting ridiculous Kelley. Just tell her you're in love with her. Mom is very dense. She's got no idea. But I think she likes you too." I actually don't know if Mom likes Kelley more than a friend. She's pretty hard for even me to read sometimes and I'm her fucking child.
But hey. What was the worst that could happen? Mom blows a gasket and throws Kells across the room? Funny, sure. But highly unlikely.
"How can you tell?"
"Oh. I was hoping you wouldn't ask that." I scratched my head. I was still getting used to not being blonde. Everyone important seemed to like it. Everyone except Christen. She just sort of babbled about something incoherently then ran away. Not exactly a compliment.
