The past.

Senior year.

Beep Beep Beep. "Ughhh" You groaned as your alarm on the nightstand beside your bed went off , you stretched your arm to turn to it off attempting to smack it a couple times before you hit the stop button though.

Before you got up and got ready for the day you layed there staring at the ceiling for about 5 mins. "Shit", you mumbled to yourself. You finally got up to get ready for the day so you went to go brush your teeth then take a shower.

After getting out the shower you went throughout your closet to pick out an outfit and chose your go to outfit, gray sweats and matching zip up hoodie with a white tank top underneath.  You did your hair real quick then slipped on a pair black slides,grabbed your bag, your keys and a water bottle and hit the door.

By the time you left it was 7:25, you had about an hour before you had to be at school so you had time to go to your local cafe and get some hot chocolate.

Ding. The bell on the door rung as you walked into the cafe. "Hey y/n" said Micheal. Micheal worked at the cafe and always had a crush on you ever since he got hired, Micheal was cute there's no denying that.

He was a tall dark skin with a blonde buzzcut and blonde dyed facial hair, with a pearly white smile, but you never really thought of being in a relationship with him or anything you mostly liked him as a friend, though you wouldn't mind tapping. Plus you didn't have time for commitment anyway and you had your eyes on someone else. "Hey" you replied.

"So what'll it be?" he asked. "Can i have a small cup of hot coco with a couple marshmallows please" you asked. "Yes you may, coming right up" He grinned and took your order. You handed him 3 ones and went to go sit your booth. The booth beside the window on the left side of the door.

As you waited for your hot chocolate to be made you decided to go on your phone and scroll through instagram and came across your ex best friends post and saw him in a booth at a restaurant with his friends smiling and a girl sitting next to him.

You weren't surprised though because you were used to it  and know it wouldn't last. He had dated so many girls through out the years and not one had stayed by his side but you.

But then for some reason he cut you off as soon as you guys got to high school, it was a while ago so you weren't too phased by it anymore but it still hurt because you still loved him. This mf was supposed to be my best friend, you thought.

Fuck this. Im gonna graduate high school and get that degree, you thought to yourself. And you did.

"Here you go" Micheal placed your hot chocolate on the table. "Thank you" you said. Then he walked back over to the register continuing to take other people's orders. You were so lost in thought you were a little startled when he came over. As you were looking out the window you felt the hot steam from the hot chocolate warm your face and inhaled the scent a little, taking a sip from it you watched as the cars in the street flew past the store.

Your school was only a couple blocks down from the store so you had more than enough time to enjoy your hot coco and chill in the cafe.

Still looking out the window you watch as different people walk by you hear the cafes bell ring again, you look up from your drink and saw him. He looked back at you and froze you made eye contact for what felt like an hour then looked away. He looked as if he had something to say but he didn't.

You then realized he had a girl with him clutching onto his arm she was pretty just like the others. She had long brown hair, long eyelashes and a dimple on the side of her cheek looking up at eren and grinning. She looked happy being with him.

Maybe they were together you thought, either that or he's just playing her. "Corin where do you want to sit?" he asks her. Corin. That's her name. She then drags him to the table next to my booth and they sit across from each other.

10 minutes later Micheal brings them the stuff they ordered which looks like a bowl of fruit and lemonade. You look away and back out the window again but then you heard giggling so you look back at them and saw her feeding him strawberries.

After seeing that you grabbed your bag, threw around your shoulder then got up and left you couldn't stand watching them act all couple like in front of you.

Micheal noticed you watching him the whole time and realized he doesn't stand a chance and never will because you were clearly into someone else. He watched as you marched out the cafe looking annoyed and jealous. Watching you walk past the window and leave he looked at eren and corin and sighed. He felt bad.

A couple months later...

Time flew past and you finally graduated high school. College starts soon and you slowly start to get ready. This is where it all starts.

heyyyyy thanks for reading the first chapter of my book.this chapter was short asf but idek where this story is going tbh i have a little idea but the rest will have to just flow as it goes on. oh and btw y/n doesn't simp over no man especially not eren🤨 well, for now. but later on 😏. y/n bout to be reckless in college so get ready.
