The demon then yelled, ""Urokodakis!" before his head fell to the ground. His body then started to crumble. You wanted to be disgusted by the demon but then you saw Tanjiro's face. His face was filled with sympathy and sadness. Your eyes then soften as Tanjiro held the demon's hand and prayed for him to not be a demon in his next life as the demon's hand then crumbled away.
Seven days later, in the morning, all the surviving demon slayers returned to the place where they first started. The two children from before were there and then said, "Welcome back. Congratulations. I am glad you are safe." You and Tanjiro then looked around to see that only 3 other people were there with you both. You both gave each other a concerned look as we realized the boy you saved on the first day wasn't there. You then saw that the only people surviving was a quiet girl with purple hair in a ponytail who was looking at a butterfly, a boy with yellow hair who seemed to be mumbling about how he was going to die, and a boy who had the sides of his head shaved then the top with hair talking about what he was going to do and where was his katana.
The children then continued to say, "First, we will provide your corps uniform. We will take your measurements and then engrave your rank. There are ten ranks. Kinoe, Kinoto, Hinoe, Hinoto, Tsuchinoe, Tsuchinoto, Kanoe, Kanoto, Mizunoe, and Mizunoto. Right now, you are all the bottom rank of Mizunoto." The boy then asked again, "Where's my katana?" The children then responded by saying, "Today you will choose the ore for your sword. Then it will take up to two weeks for the katana to be finished. Then we will assign you a Kasugai crow." The children then clapped and then birds came to the place where you were at. You, Tanjiro, and other two people got crows while the yellow haired boy got a sparrow. One of the children then explained how most people get crows but not everyone. You then looked at your crow and petted it as you heard a smack.
The boy from before, who was complaining about the katanas, then slapped his crow. He then began to yell, "I don't care about crows!" He then went to the white haired child and pulled their hair as he yelled, "Katana! I want my katana! And I want it now! A Demon Slayer Corps katana! A color-changing katana!" You and Tanjiro went up to him and as Tanjiro grabbed his arm you yelled at him saying, "Stop yelling like a spoiled toddler and let go of the child! Or else me and my brother will break every bone in your body!" The boy then looked at you two and said, "Huh? Who're you?!" you then grabbed the boy's other arm as you and Tanjiro at the same time twisted his arms. He was then groaning in pain as he tried to give you a death stare but then saw your death stare at him. He then seemed to get intimidated as the other child then said, "Are you done talking? Then come over here, please choose the ore for making your katana. You choose for yourself the ore for the sword that will kill demons, and protect you." There was a table of what looked like rocks, which were the orbs. then you chose your ore.
You and Tanjiro were exhausted. You both were now walking to Mount Sagiri and your uniforms felt heavy. You and Tanjiro were both really disappointed since you both encountered 8 demons during Final Selection and didn't get any information on how to change Nezuko back to a human. By the time you and Tanjiro made it to the house in Mount Sagiri it was sunset. You were about to make it to the house when you both saw someone kick open the door. You both then looked shocked as it was Nezuko walking outside. You and Tanjiro at the same time then yelled, "Nezuko! Nezuko you're finally awake!" She then turned to you two and then started to run towards you. Out of happiness and exhaustion, you both then fell to the ground as Nezuko went up to you two and hugged you both. You and Tanjiro then started crying as saying on how worried you both were if Nezuko was ever going to wake up. Urokodaki then ran up to the three of you and hugged all of you three and said, "You both came back to us alive!" There you four stayed there crying as you were all together.
Fifteen days after returning you and Tanjiro heard someone coming to the house so you both went outside to see. There was a man with a hat and bells hanging on the hat. You and Tanjiro looked at him and awkwardly said, "uh nice windchimes." The man then said, "I am called Haganezuka. I am he who forged Tanjiro and Y/N Kamado's swords." You then said, "We are Tanjiro and Y/N Kamado. Please come inside." Haganezuka then just sat on the dirt in front of the house and said, "This is a Nichirin Sword." Tanjiro then said, "Um, please come in." Haganezuka just ignored Tanjiro and said, "I forged this blade." Tanjiro just looked at him then said, "I'll make tea."He then continued to say, "The iron sand and ore that are the materials for a nichirin sword are gathered at the mountain closest to the sun. Scarlet iron sand and scarlet ore both absorb sunlight." Tanjiro then said, "Your furoshiki wrap is getting dirty." Ingoring him again he continues to say, "The sun shines all year on Mount Moko, it is never cloudy and rain never falls." Tanjiro then trying again then says, "Come on. Just for a second! Won't you get up off the ground?" Haganezuka then looks up to see you and Tanjiro then and you see that he is wearing a Hyottoko mask. He then said, "Hmm? Hmm? Oh, you're children of brightness! What luck!" Tanjiro then said, "No, we're the children of Tanjiro and Kie!" "I don't think that's what he meant," you said. Haganezuka then said, "That isn't what I meant. Your hair and eyes are reddish. Houses who work with fire have such children. Be happy for your good fortune. That means your sword may turn red. Right, Urokodaki?" "Yes." Urokodaki said. "Oh, I had no idea." you said. You and Tanjiro then thought, He finally came inside, when Haganezuka entered the house and sat down.
Haganezuka then said, "Go on, draw your swords." "All right." you and Tanjiro said. You and Tanjiro then started to take out your swords when Haganezuka then said, "Nichirin swords are also called color-changing katana." You and Tanjiro then held your katanas as the color then turned black. Urokodaki and Haganezuka both said, "Black!" You then said, "Is black bad? Is it unlucky? I mean the shade of it looks pretty though." While Haganezuka was yelling Urokodaki then explained, "No, it's not, but that jet black is rarely seen." Haganezuka then yelled, "I thought I was gonna get to see a bright red blade! Damn!" He then jumped on Tanjiro and tug his cheek as you said, "Hey! Careful! You'll hurt him! How old even are you?" He then responded by saying, "I'm 37."
You were trying to get Haganezuka off of Tanjiro when both of yours and Tanjiro's crows came into the house and yelled, "Kaw! Tanjiro Kamado! Y/N Kamado! You must head for a town to the North! As a Demon Hunter! This is your first job! Go, and beware! In this Northern town! Young girls are disappearing! Night after night! Girls! Girls! Disappearing!"
