Henry Danger Oneshot: A Way Out From BlackOut

10.00PM

It's exactly at 10.00pm that all the lights in Dystopia turn off at once.

It's not long afterwards that the manhunt begins.

Blackout leads the way through the streets as the Blonde starts his move.

With the lights off all around him, the street life is difficult to get through as people stand confused and dazed as they try to find their bearings in the pitch black. But Henry has encountered such atmosphere before - he knows his way around - he knows the way back to their hideout.

It would be a risky move going back there, his team were in hiding after all - Charlotte, Jasper, Piper - all waiting for him to return. It would likely lead them to risk, it would likely end in failure.

Henry's mind flickers to his present situation, as he turns another corner down a more private street, glancing over his shoulder to the blurry figures running at him from behind. Who knew when he had left to Dystopia that someone would place such a large bounty on his head. He for one thought he was done with these supervillain type goons, but alas he was very wrong, like he had been many times before.

Ray had told him the risks of having an known identity, but they had decided that both of them could handle it now - if only he had known some one would go to such length to want him dead.

The young man draws to a halt as he faces a dead end, the air around him buzzing slightly with energy, as the wind picks up as the silhouette strides closer. Seconds to think - and where to go. If he stayed he would put all his friends in danger, if he left they wouldn't know where he went - he would be alone. 

If only he had Ray's help, then maybe...

A slight smile appears on the boy's face as he sighs in relief - his face relaxing but his hands fast at work as he pulls out a singular ball of gum dropping it in his mouth before chewing quickly. His fingers brush along a zapper as he eyes the figure behind him, he just needs a distraction and then its time for the kid to fly home to the man's nest.

As the transformation begin, the villain lunges and Henry takes on an action of his own as he smashes himself against the figure - his force field bursting them both back. Blackout stumbles slightly to the ground clutching his arm, as he growls over to the hero. But Henry having already picked himself up from the floor, starts to drop a selection of mechanical spheres by his feet, as he turns back onto main street.

The streets still dark, he finds himself illuminated only by the moon, as his eyes sets on the device in his hand.

A distant boom from his distraction as screams sound from passabys, as Henry picks up his pace.

In Dystopia he weren't safe.

But in Swellview, he had a chance.

He finally had a way out.

A way out from Blackout.

It's only an oneshot, but I've been re watching Season 5 again and starting Danger Force, and I just felt inspired. Maybe I will do more little oneshot type things, not sure yet, but this show and it's character have always been such a comfort to me - I couldn't just let it go. Hope those who read The TRUTH series I did sees some of the links back to it [only loosely but yeah :D]
